Had a great dental appointment today and then noted that I have lost 3lbs this week - not that I am really trying but could stand to lose maybe 32lbs more this year. Shall see how it goes. (No way I am stopping my pub visits! )

I plan to take the dog for a good walk tonight. She needs the fresh air and it knocks her out for the night!

It has been an up and down cycle for me since Jan 8th when I came to my senses and re-started. Down 5 lbs at least, I credit the I.F. that I'm engaged in as well as the home cooking ( no processed stuff, no bad carbs, sugar or salt ). Mmmmm, my first meal will be around 3 p.m. and I'll be slurping more of my beef soup.
Carry on everyone!!

You'll be amazing at this as usual, @walkonby ....we need you to be! You encourage me to stay on track! Those Disney turnstiles aren't a problem, Walks, and I won't be leapfrogging over them, but the simple fact that a week of walking there all day as well as their resort sure is easier as the pounds roll off.
Down 9.6 lbs or as I like to say, 10 lbs.
Gosh, even with that small (relatively) loss I feel better, but miles to go, another 20 would do it for me. Not at that silly "ideal" weight that young people can achieve, but a healthy weight for me.
Dinner will be our 0-point chili...gosh, I could eat that stuff every day! That, and the 0-point blitzed tomato/chickpea soup.
Keep up getting healthier everyone!Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Jan 15th, 2020 at 01:15 PM.

I fell off the band wagon some today, but I refuse to beat myself up about it. I still made some good food choices. I’m tired and in pain. I’ll be at work from 7am-5pm, including my commute to the small rural school tomorrow. We are having a healthy supper tonight and I have a healthy lunch planned for tomorrow.
It’s still -40 outside. It’s supposed to be nice next week, so I’ll be able to spend time outside with them on the days that I’m not teaching. If there’s enough snow, I can pull them in the sled again.Last edited by Angela273; Thu, Jan 16th, 2020 at 07:02 PM.

Awww, Ladies, it's so tough in the beginning; I found that personally it takes me about 4 days to finally get into the groove of not cheating, as I call it. I'm still having a couple of glasses of wine today, but I'm accounting for it in my Points.
Nose to that grindstone and just think how wonderful you'll feel this summer when you're carrying less weight. It works for me, just imaging how I felt when I did lose that weight by the spring of 2014...I can still remember being able to curl up on the sofa, so comfortably. I can't bend that formerly broken leg like that anymore, lol, but I sure do know that WHEN I get there this spring, I'll be feeling a whole lot better. Even with the 10lb loss I feel better and I'm working on strengthening that leg by taking the stairs one at a time now.
Keep up the great work, you really do have this!!!

we have a potluck tonight and I have weigh in on Saturday so that will force me to behave. I have been doing a strength training class once a week and while the weight is stubborn clearly its working because I am back in jeans that I wore 15 pounds ago, that is always encouraging. @Lynn49 I too save my points for wine and gin. I have gone back to measuring the wine as I was getting a little loose and free since the holidays

I am not trying to eliminate anything. I am trying to limit some things and make healthier life choices. I don’t smoke, drink alcohol, juice, coffee, or tea. I occasionally drink some pop. I have a water bottle habit that I picked up in about Grade 8. All of my kids have water bottles. We drink milk, not juice. I’m eating more veggies and fruit, especially fresh which can be a challenge on a budget during the middle of winter. I pack my lunch and snack for work 99% of the time, even though I’m on call as a substitute teacher. I’m also trying to exercise more. I’m looking forward to the nice weather next week which will allow us to spend time outside for the first time in over 2wks.
edit: I have a sweet tooth, particularly for chocolate. Dh got me eating chips a lot more than I ever used to. I enjoy baking, but try to make my recipes a bit healthier. It’s usually quite easy to reduce the sugar without anyone really noticing.Last edited by Angela273; Sun, Jan 19th, 2020 at 12:55 AM.

I succumbed. We have our GS this weekend since "the kids" are at Casinorama at a concert, so after Jimanji, we went to Boston Pizza, and I had the individual GLUTEN FREE pizza!! I couldnt tell that cauliflower crust from a regular one! If they sold those plain crusts frozen, I'd stuff our freezer with them!
So.....back on my wagon tomorrow!

I am doing more walking, drinking more water, but I still have 2 pieces of chocolate every day I know I can’t cut it off entirely otherwise when I have a craving I will end up eating the whole bar. I will try my best not to buy chocolate that I can’t resist.
Keep up the good work everyone.
