Riding season has begun. Actually it started on Mother’s Day. Dh and I have done several rides starting at 9km, then 14km, then 17.5km, then yesterday a 20km ride with hills! Ouch those were tough but so rewarding.
I'm also strength training 3-4X a week. I love the warmer spring into summer kinda weather.
We are already planning our biking road trips this year! I really can’t wait.
August will be a staycation so day bike trips locally are planned and then a 2 week bike road trip is planned. Trails and trestle bridges!

Another 20km in the books. On the plus side we had our favourite food truck as a break.

Still working out but sometimes it’s been limited to walks but that’s been after an extremely physical work day but also biking. Yesterday was a 27km ride with 3 overpasses and a hill climb, and gravel trails which are my favourite. It was just over 20 degrees but with above 70% humidity so while it wasn’t the hardest ride it was a workout. I ended up changing on the street due to the heat! Ok, so I just took off the sleeved shirt I had underneath but that’s extremely difficult when your hot, sweaty and covered in sunscreen
.
A ride is planned for today but not sure exactly what it will entail…….

Yesterday was a 20.5 km ride and it was beautiful. Today is recovery day which means just walking also since I have a busy work week starting tomorrow.

The plan on Canada Day was to bike which we did but I’d hoped to get 50km on my 50th but it was a bit later of a start to the day so it became way to hot with all the hills and trails so I called it at 38km. Still a fantastic ride but not exactly what I’d hoped for.
