Well, I'm home after 24+ hours back in hospital.
There was real concern that I'd need more surgery, but all's ok.
Again, thank you all for your prayers.

oh brother! There seems to be a revolving door connecting you to the hospital.....stop that now o.k? ha ha
I'll bet you were relieved to discover more surgery was not needed....whew! It is time to let that body mend again.
I have you in my thoughts every day hicks. Guess what? It is raining again today....argh!!!

@22hicks sorry you had to be back to the hospital again isn't it a relief that no more surgery is needed. You have to just rest an let your body mend I ask always thinking about you. You are in my prayers everyday. Have a great day its raining

What more can I add to everyone's suggestions to rest,, heal, read, watch tv, and snuggle with Jake?
I'm relieved that you have friends visiting, checking in on you, as well as your surgeon keeping in touch. I think that brings us all relief.....I hope the visits are short and sweet and not too taxing. 🐵

Oh! Did you see on tv this morning, a scrolling blurb about the discovery of a NEW species of orangutan ??!
You'll have to keep on eye out for that bit of news! Pretty exciting for you, huh? 🐒

Good morning every1, and it is, at least much better than the last few.
I hope you all have a good one too.

You all know that I believe in the power of prayer, and that the Lord is watching over me.
A couple of days ago, when I'd just about given up, and was so worried about what would happen to Jake, the Lord watched over him for me too.
It was a cloudy, rainy, miserable day, but looked what happened. You can't tell me that wasn't the shining light of God.
So, thank you all. It means so much to me.

I love orangs; here's one of my favourite families.

I can't access pictures or see or give reps or usually "likes" on this machine. I will have to wait until I get home.

My friend went to a lecture by a woman who is from the Seven Nations Indigenous heritage. She spoke of many things but said that pets were sent to help us to heal while we grieve a loss. I thought that was very special.
