After overcharging for bread, should Loblaws demand ID for a $25 gift card?

My brother & his wife got their Card - last week & this week respectively.
Both of them had applied around Feb 15 , at the same time & same day. But their cards came exactly 1 week apart.
So about a month for both their cards to come.
Some people from January are yet to receive their cards or have received an email asking for Drivers License or Utility Bill to confirm ID & Address .
So its really random, when & how you will get your cards.

I filled out the form on the morning of January 8, then filled it out 2 minutes later for my mother. She got her gift card 18 days before I received mine. That just reiterates the random nature as to when you receive the card. I really don't understand why Loblaws is the only one doing this. The price of bread at stores like Sobeys and Metro hasn't been and currently isn't any better than the Loblaws stores. The random nature of who has to send in additional identification also leaves one shaking their head. I understand the anti-fraud argument but the random nature of who has to do this makes you wonder.

Just got mine today, was getting worried that I either didn't qualify or they wanted proof of ID. But it came today, there's groceries for the next month covered!

Damn..i just read the part about the pc optimum /pc plus issue.... I don't even have records of how many pc points I have but I know I had enough for a $10 redemption. I don't have a pc plus card just my bank card but the site isn't available for me to check my points, crap ! I hope the receipt at nofrills will show my balance?
I gotta find the pc plus thread to get to the bottom of this now!
