It takes very little time or effort to open an account, so it's basically a no-lose proposition to do so, especially if you look at the Metro and IGA flyers anyway, in which case you won't be spending additional time to do so.

I'm not anywhere close to being a serious AM collector, but here in my part of the GTA, I've benefited from a few deals at Sobey and Metro where I was able to get things at no net cost or even with a few AM as overage. So, while YMMV, my experience is that I come out ahead by doing nothing more than just those occasional deals.

Rona and Lowes take it-1 AM per $20 spent. Rexall too but it might not be in QC. Rexall Air Miles show up the day after a purchase in your Air Miles account.

Just glad I was wearing a wool blazer yesterday during my walk home-3 rounds of high winds, snow/showers/sunshine. Wet shoes and dirty (they will be laundered today). I added a knit cap to my attire after dinner to use the $10 bonus coupon at Longos yesterday-super happy the clearance selection had 57cent Easter creme eggs (needed one to help me just get over $10 before taxes otherwise I'd be under $10). A short visit followed at Value Village-first time I've spotted a women's Twik top (Simons's brand in long sleeve blouse section, XL-it's a mock wrap bodice top in a red/orange colour) in my local store. Noticed some turnover in the sewing patterns (some have been bought) and there are some older Burda patterns now in the bin. Did not succumb to buying one!

Made one grocery trip run for Mom this morning so she can get her baking and cooking done mostly in the morning and put something into the mailbox. Second trip out (on way to the library)stopped into Food Basics for a cucumber and the dried apricots deal then Shoppers for Stayfree package and coconut water (otherwise I'd miss the tetra drink deal). Think I just need a bottle of mineral water and I'm done for the weekend. There remains some branch and cone cleanup to do so they can be collected on Tuesday and I'll see when I can make the puff pastry cake or cookies tonight. Did some laundry and vacuuming this morning, so they are off my to-do list.

@SassyAshley -certainly a hopping workplace! While you tackle the updated project timelines, let someone else take any retirement party planning so you can have some breathing room/flexibility (since you are the work MacGyver person for troubleshooting issues-sure that your life coach would agree). Hope you have insight on who your next boss will be!

I am told interviews have already started and they may have someone in place within a few weeks to train with my current boss but not matter what his last date will be June 30th even if someone is not found. I am just hoping this person is not a micro-manager and let's me keep doing what I am doing.

As for parties and that I do not think we are even at that point yet we still have a few months to go.

We're also cleaning up after those winds. On the positive side, there is some green stuff peaking through the soil. Robins and blackbirds are circling our area looking for a place to make a nest. And the tree buds are getting nice and fat. Spring! Finally

Not a bad day here. Laundry is done (well almost, 1 more load to fold). Loaded Dishwasher, empty dishwasher and re loaded. Also did some of the hand dishes.

Also managed to make a double batch of Beef Stew, a batch of Potato Soup and a Batch of Pasta Sauce. Still need to make Taco Meat but I will do that tomorrow as I also need to make another batch of Taco Seasoning Mix.

Also been doing some work as my plate is over flowing at work, I spoke to my boss and I do have some help starting Monday but I still need to get through the stuff only I can do. I keep telling myself all of these projects are going to wrap up and I am going to be searching for a new projects but it seems like things just keep getting added. As well not sure what will happen once our new controller comes on board. Depending on how the transition goes I am not sure if there are things our current controller over sees that will get passed to me even just to over see well the transition takes place.

I am really hoping to get a few things wrapped up this week but I am losing a day as one of our locations is hosting an event this week and I am going out to support them for the day.

Hope everyone has a great evening.

In the last two days I’ve washed and put away 3 loads of laundry. My daycare girl got picked up at her late scheduled time yesterday. Then we are supper and headed out for a family swim. One of our friends joined us there. I made it to a Sobeys at 8:30 and was one of their last customers for the night.

As Natalka posted, there has been a tragic accident that is on our minds. 15 people have died from the bus vs semi accident. It brings up many memories. My local hockey team won provincials the year that I was in grade 12. A local company sponsored two charter busses to transport the team and fans to games as they were succeeding along the way. We were only a town of 500 people. When there was a hockey game, there were barely anyone at school in the higher grades. It also makes me remember a Thanks Giving accident when our community lost an entire family of 5, along with the driver of the other vehicle. The daughter was in my brother’s class. The son had just graduated high school with my sister that spring. The weather was clear, it was a clear intersection on a grid troad, on their way to church. I still remember the sirens for the volunteers...I remember the phone call that my dad received with the news...I remember the media outside our school that week. These are things that people don’t forget. I am following the story and praying for those left behind.

We took a family picture at Photos Unlimited today. Twinboy was not into it and gave a big lip. We got a picture, but there wasn’t much to pick from. The employee wasn’t good at her job, which is an understatement...she didn’t want to be there and kept complaining about it.

I went to a DIY your own deoderant class at the public library. The essential oils that were used at the class caused my migraine to flare up and get worse. I switched to deoderant 7yrs ago. The aluminum in antiperspirants has been connected to some health problems.

Dh and our son installed the new ceiling fan in our bathroom. The old one was old, round, and discontinued. The new one was square, so it took a fair bit of work to cut and install the new one properly. It looks good and easy to pull down the cover to clean it.
