I’m extremely disappointed with Air Miles. I finally sent in an inquiry via Facebook private messenger. Apparently a discountbwas applied to my December purchase which brought it below the $100 amount, before taxes weee applied. Due to this error I did not receive 50AM on that purchase and I also will not receive the 300AM from shop the block. My options are very limited where I live, so I made this Amazon purchase through Air Miles Shop specifically for this purpose. Well...I guess I screwed that up and lost 350AM = $37. I could really use the $37 towards groceries.

I’m still trying to fill my daycare spots. I’m still applying for teaching contracts. I would not have guessed that 8 years after convocation I would still be looking for a continuing teaching contract.

I had a 20x points at shoppers today when I spend $50 or more. They had valentines chocolates still there so I bought. This:
3x PC chocolate those seashells at 3.75=11.25
    2x maple leaf bacon 4.99=9.98
2x hair elastics for thick hair 7.99=15.98
    2x polident 3 min 96 tabs 6.99=13.98
    4x fixodent strong hold 5.99= 23.99
    Burt’s bees lip balm 8.99
    Fake nails 14.99
    Carnaby hearts 2.00
    Imodium quick dissolve 15.99
    3x chips ahoy cookies 3.49=10.47
    $50 iTunes card
    Digital bonus 20x offer: 36,195points
    Total after tax 186.73$
    I saved 31.21$
    In store bonus points 900
    Regular points 1905
    Digital bonus points 36195
    =39,000
I have now enough to buy 40$ worth of groceries.

Then I stopped at no frills and picked up tide pods for laundry and when I got home realized I bought the wrong ones oh well. I also bought gain flings for someone who gave me money before i left.

I didn’t get any sleep last night there was too much noise 4 dogs barking and someone playing electric guitar upstairs. So I am really tired today. Maybe I can get in a nap today or something.

Yesterday my mom bought me groceries so I have some of those in my fridge I guess when I feel better maybe I will cook the 12$ roast I have from Walmart.

Right now I am going to chill take care all.

    Hi, everyone!
A quick update about me. I got moved this morning to another hospital, where they have the convalescent unit I was in for two months last time.
But only an hour's notice, so it was a whirlwind.

Husband was able to get off work to help with packing and loading stuff; I went over by wheelchair van - the driver was really nice and put my walker with all my bags in with me, so my husband just met us at the other hospital.

Lots of staff remembered me and I, them. Names elude me for most of them, though.
Husband stayed til I got settled in, and son will come by after work.

I didn't think I was ready to come here just yet, but something obviously happened after the talk we had with my Dr and a nurse yesterday. When I asked today how did I get in so fast - the Dr. was just going to start the application going yesterday and there is usually quite a waiting list. All I was told was that someone "higher up" got me in. Well, wowsers!

So I am glad to be here, last time with hard work from me and the amazing team here, things worked well. I am in somewhat different circumstances, but am ready to give it my all!

    Take care, everyone!

@Natalka -wowsers indeed! Someone's got a heart and fortunately your DH could get time off to meet you!
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
@lilo0003 -will DM you about the picture frame-thank you for the offer (sibling works in your town but he won't assist me in the frame quest, but I want an excuse to visit OPL to get a new library card, so you never know). Right now have two possible leads-have to see outcome tomorrow on one and then decide to buy new at store (7" is what is available at one store but it has a USB 2.0 port so I'd need a new USB key) or chance the secondhand one I saw at one store (regular USB, SD and micro USB ports!) today. Mom's agreed to photos at the guestbook outside the viewing room but she won't allow images in the viewing room, so no projector screens. Have to scan photos and negatives, arrange in order and possibly get a few text screens inserted to run a show.
As for documents and things-I've given Mom an inventory of what I know or have pieced together from documents so far. Mom needs a ride to the intended funeral home but sibling won't take time off to accompany her and Mom's not risking the ice/snow to bus in. So detente... I appreciate that you have given some idea of what will be done. Thanks to the first estate planning talk I attended, I know one needs to ask for min. of 25 death certificates and Mom will likely need them all. Think there's going to be a learning curve for her and trying to get her keep tabs on paperwork, etc. after Dad passes.

BTW, I did not get on the casino bus trip. I was late to the site, not helped by discovering the express bus I was on no longer stopped at the RBG stop so I was dropped off several blocks later and it was 9:10am at that point. However, I enjoyed my walk back into downtown Hamilton, popped into a bakery for some baked snacks and visited a few stores near the core (Mom will have new curtains for her room soon but after the curtain rods are updated). Then made a pm trip out to Stoney Creek to check out shops and walk around, then got back to East Mountain after 5pm and am at the library briefly. Want to get back to my town soon but have one more stop to make.
2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

He now has a plan and will graduate this year. Has applied to college for a trade and the acceptance letters are streaming in. He did a coop placement in 1st for 4 credits and while it ended up not being the field of study he picked the experience was invaluable. The difference in maturity over the past 4 months has been nothing but amazing.
The change is nice to hear! Im hoping that staying home that extra year will help him in the long run. Hoping though also he realizes its his choices that are causing the consequnces.

Extra renos extra bills... extra ohh whatever put it on thd card if we need it or yes take care if whatever for your mom/my mom. Now we have 1 house 1 set of bills and being frugal needs to be back in order.

And i will also admit to spending more on craft supplies because it made me mad i wss being careful and soneine was buying 2 packs of smokes every two days (hes offically quitr now its been 62 days n no smoke) clothing because i lost alot of weight.... got rid of too big clothes then got put on insulin and regained 35 pounds. Soooo needed new stuff both ways.

BF is possibly going on strike with the gnwt next week. Scary feeling.

Our oldest turns 18 tomorrow but will likely be doing more grade 12 classes next year as well. Lack of motivation.... Im inclined to believe he's internet/gaming addicted.

I made roast beef it’s sitting on my stove resting. I managed to get 2-3 hours of some rest. I was going to up some potatoes for the dinner I made for myself. My legs hurt and toes/ foot is cold as usual I just want to sleep well instead all over the place.
@Ciel sorry about hearing about your dad’s declining health. To celebrate my dad’s life here on earth we made a slide show on the computer. Then got to play on the tv in my parents house and had lots of people over the house on Halloween and at the end of the night lit off fireworks in his honour. We didn’t have a lot of money and cremation was 3k$. I put up most of the money for this and my mom handled his taxes. My sister was too devastated at the time to do much of anything. My dad wasn’t religious so there was no church ceremony out of the respect for his wishes. I hope you find what you are looking for in respects of ideas and have a plan in place to take care of all hidden expenses.

I went to NF this evening, but they were out of stock of several items that were on sale and in my meal plans (fresh mushrooms, bagged salad, navel oranges, tub yogurt). I paid $12.05oop, redeemed $60 in points, $1 in coupons, $2.25 CO51, and earned 3,000pts.

Ciel one thing to keep in mind, I saw article on 680 news yesterday saying the government currently has a back log and getting marriage licenses, birth or death certificates is currently taking approximately 3 months to process.

    morning all. buses are cancelled.
eye appointments went well. expensive but well. youngest has her glasses ordered. mine i will hopefully do tonight.. depends on the weather.
i have tried taking melatonian for helping sleep... yea.. side affect is a head ache in the am . not sure if i am going to continue that ,...
should be a pretty mellow day here...
i am hoping to get a bit of work done at quiet time.

there is a sobeys , foodland promo.. where you spend 50, and buy certain product, you get a 10.00 gc. so i will be doing that this weekend.... and sdm has 20.x points.

i am going to run out of pc plus points soon. hopefully i can replace with enough to get the child to the end of the semester. it will be close.
i wont be able to do as many next year.... but hopefully there will be some good bonus points.. and i can save them for them . it has certainly come in handy for them this year.

Good morning! School was a go here today (I was advised the freezing rain was bad at 11pm last night in the town that is part of our area and if they have no bus service then either do we but it was not the case today!) Which is good since DS is missing school tomorrow for hockey.

Tonight I will make his fav pasta for dinner (Chicken tetrazzini) I folded towels last night and there is a load of clothes in dryer to put away. Kitchen was spotless when we left the house this morning. I have leftovers for lunch today (roasted chicken, green beans and a few potatoes) I plan on hitting the gym this afternoon.

Breakfast tomorrow will be egg and cheese on an English muffin. I will fry up the eggs tonight so I don't have to do so in the morning. We are taking DS's friend with us to the tournament so I should be nice and make him a breakfast sandwich too.

    Have a wonderful day everyone!

Thanks to you all for the good wishes and messages!

    Good morning!

Waiting for physio to show up, they are 20 minutes late.

Dietary didn't send breakfast for me; they know I moved because I got supper yesterday, albeit the wrong one. It was okay, though, an aide made me toast.

Woke up through the night with bad leg pain, and got a painkiller. Then when I woke up in the morning, it hurt just as much - but I at least got to sleep.
I know it's not a hotel, but... The bed is awful. It's been too short, too narrow, and you can feel all the metal through the mattress. I awoke with a bad backache. I will give the bed another night, and then I will ask if there is any possibility to change it.
Wish I could have brought the bed I had at the other hospital. It was not perfect, but the least of all evils. Oh, well.

Hope you are all doing well, I know you are always busy with work, family, and shopping!

Take care, have a terrific Thursday!

@Natalka great news on the move, someone is looking out for you!
@Ciel it must be so difficult to be the 1 person in charge, your family is lucky to have you!

DS1 has swollen cheeks from the wisdom tooth extractions removed on Tuesday.

Super tonight was tacos, tomorrow will be meatless.

    Wishing everyone a great evening

It is another long work day at the computer for me. I once looked forward to retiring...but I don't think that's in the cards. Oh well. There are worse things than spending the next years in a warm workroom, with dogs at my feet, and a husband calling up the staircase "what's for lunch?!" It will be nice when Spring gets here, however, and I can get a lung full of clean air that smells like grass. More coffee for me. Y'all have a great day.
