Good Evening Everyone,
I worked from home today, my back is fine as long as I sit on the couch with my legs elevated but when I move it keeps tweaking. I will be seeing the doctor tomorrow morning.
Not much is getting done around the house right now as between my back and Mom's Kidney Stone (better known as Benny, yes she named her Kidney Stone, she said if they were going to co habitat he needed a name). We are very limited on what can be done.
Also no grocery shopping, Mom was going to try to go after work but she said she just did not have it in her. Oh well.
The good news is no take out, tonight I pulled out Spinach Ricotta Stuffed Shells from the Freezer which are in the oven right now.
Hope everyone has a wonderful night2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

The little bit of snow here did nothing but new west was snowed in on Tuesday.
I think I am sick
officially I have a sore throat and a cough. I wish people would stay home when they were sick Val for staff member lost her voice but didn’t go to the doctors. Spread around her germs
. Tracy has a nice lovely cough
. Now I’m definitely sick. I’m going to the doctor today for a shot but I will talk about this probably strep throat or bronchitis I have. Antibiotics for me probably.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Went to the doctor today, turns out my back is all muscular, not sure if that is good or bad. He said I may not feel relief for 3 to 4 weeks and I need to start Physio and Massage Therapy. He told me to do my best to live day to day life but do not life anything heavy. My concern is I keep going into Spasm when I drive and it is my right side which makes me very uneasy. On Tuesday when I got to work I was in Spasm and I had to sit in my car on my heat seats for like 10 minutes before I felt comfortable I could stand up. Again not sure if this was supposed to make me feel better but doc said when this happens more than likely I will not fall when having a Spasm, I told him I need more than more than likely.
I am not freaking out but I am starting to get a little annoyed that I am unable to do stuff around the house right now. I could do things but only for short periods of time. I was just making dinner and I stood for 10 minutes peeling and cutting potatoes and the spasm started.
I need to find something to keep myself busy.
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Well a busy day with Ashlyn shovelled this morning a bit (around the front veranda )hubby snow plowed
Then played lego's with her ,painted and coloured with her ,then off to mcdonalds for lunch spent $15. hubby and I got egg mcmuffin and hot drinks ,Ashlyn got a happy meal and then an ice cream cone -it was still dripping as she ate it inside as they gave her a huge one (oh well she enjoyed it)
Then to shoppers for milk ,crème ,jelly bellys for Ashlyn and chocolate bars for hubby (okay I ate one) .She just went home at 4.00 p.m -ahh nice and quite and we can relax

Good Evening Everyone,
I know I have had a lot of knock down posts lately and this is not one of those but I do need some advise.
Mom and I are very similar which normally is a good thing but I find in the areas we are not similar is where we really have issues and money is one of these areas. Mom is very much a right now type of person, as in I have money now, everything is okay right now.
I am more of what does the future bring type of person, I honestly believe this is a lot from my upbringing, as long as I can remember Mom has come up short and had to "borrow" money. I say "borrow" as rarely did I get the money back. I have always been a saver and even before I started working I usually had money tucked away. Because of this I am not worried about right now, or even next week I am worried about a few weeks or month from now.
Due to everything going on right now my OCDs have come out huge and Money if a huge trigger for me so I have gone into do not spend anything mode. I cannot help it, I am freaking out.
This is causing issues as Mom keeps pointing out we have money now so stop worrying, so much easier said than done. But more than anything the part that gets to me is she is not at all trying to understand me even though she expects me to understand her. Like apparently she cannot budget nor hear the word budget as it makes her feel poor and makes her want to spend money just to prove she can. I have come to understand this and try my best to work around it. But instead of trying to understand where I am coming from she just get annoyed at me which actually just makes it worse as it makes feel like I am not justified in my feelings and that just makes me spin, do not tell me my feelings are wrong.
I understand we are in a unique situation but I need to figure out a way to well in my perfect world make her understand me but figure out how to come to a middle ground.
Any ideas?2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

sassy -it can be hard regarding money
I am a saver always have been since I started babysitting at age 12 ,my dear dad took me to the bank to open an account .My husband is the only saver I believe out of his 4 brothers and one sister .Sometimes my hubby can be worse than me asking me to transfer some money to savings, which I do but first all the bills need to be slowly paid over the month .
It is a good thing as we retired early ,live in our paid for house .I believe we live within our means ,a few nice items here and there .
On the other hand my dear son (and he was a saver )married a shopaholic who believes she can be intitled to what ever she wants (sorry I had to say that as she grew up with parents who said "live for today".Well today catches up to you sometimes.
My daughter firmly believes in a budget for her and her hubby -so they will do okay in life .My son I worry about him and his wife down the road when the 2 girls are older or if one of them loses a job etc.
I truly believe they should teach money management in schools maybe grade 7 or 8 as it is a life skill ,we always instilled in our kids always pay that credit card evey month in full - I know my daughter does but my son told me he couldn't around xmas .
I wish you the best of luck hon with your dear mom ,maybe try talking to her again .Last edited by coupon girl; Fri, Feb 7th, 2020 at 08:53 AM.
