    Good Evening Everyone,
I did not get everything on my to do list done but I am perfectly okay with this. I was actually thinking about doing nothing today until I found out Mom had been cancelled a work so I decided if Mom was going to be home she could help me.

Roasts from Costco are broken down and in the freezer, I was going to cook one but decided against it.
Cooked up some potatoes that had marks on them and I was worried they might go bad, turned them into Instant Pot Warm Baked Potato Salad.
Chicken Carcass is in the freezer to be turned into stock later.
Overnight Oats have been made for a quick breakfast this week
Peanut Butter Dip made for quick snacks
Bocconcini is marinating in the fridge for snacks this week
Bacon Bits have been crisps to be used later in the week (we buy the Real Bacon crumble but it is isn't crisp enough for my liking so I like to cook it up a little more and make it crisp, especially if I am going to use in Salads)

I still need to use up some older Ricotta we have in the fridge. I want to make more Berry Sauce. Also I want to make a Batch of Rice I can use in dinners this week and I need to chop and wash Romaine for Salads this week.

This afternoon I took a small nap on the couch and then I did some personal computer work. I have finished off my budgets for July and now I need to move this information into my August Budges.

I am trying to come up with a meal plan for the week. I am really struggling with a Meal plan, first everything I came up with had rice as a side dish so I re did my meal plan but then it was mostly beef dishes. Not sure why but I am having issues with variety this week. I spent some time on Pinterest seeing if I could find a few Instant Pot meals as they would be quick, I found some recipes but I do not have everything on hand to make them and we have already done our August shop.

Goals for tomorrow finish my Kitchen to do list and finish my personal computer stuff (budgets and meal plan)

Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend (if you get the long weekend, I know not everyone does).

Such a bugger! Just bought my little guy some Gerber cereals last week at Superstore as they were on sale. Just looked on caddle and there’s a $2 offer. Grrrr. Hate when that happens. Last time it was a couple weeks ago with the Boiron teething drops on Check Out 51 (I ordered them from Well but they didn’t arrive in time for me to scan the packing slip for the $2 offer)

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
As much as I have a million thing I should be doing today is a Netflix and Chill kind of day.

I went into this weekend with a to do list but a big part of me was like maybe I will do nothing and just try to decompress a little. It has been a good mix but don't think I will take on anymore projects over the weekend.

I did use up the older Ricotta in the fridge and turned it into Pancakes which are now in the freezer. I also made more Berry Sauce either to have with Pancakes, Waffles or on Yogurt. I did not make the Whipped Cream, Rice or cut up the Romaine and I am good with it.

It was nice to have the cooler weather this morning, I opened all the doors and windows and got some fresh air in here, it was feeling so stuffy. Feeling a bit humid right now but it looks like more rain is coming in, hopefully it cools off once the rain comes.

Budgets are done for August, I think we are in a good place but I am a bit worried about groceries. When I did my grocery shop I based on it on me being home and doing the majority of the cooking and using mostly the Slow-Cooker but now it looks like I may be a branch which is throwing off my plans. Most of the Slow-Cooker recipes I had planned do not cook all day, most only cook 4 hours, my plan had been to put them on at lunch but now I won't be home. Also I bought food based on eating at home, not needing stuff to take to work.

I am feeling like I am in a weird place, part of me is like okay, you need to sit down, you need to make a plan, you need to make lists but right now my whole body is like it is the weekend, I don't want to think about this, I do not care right now, I am not dealing with this right now. I cannot decide is this is a good or bad thing but it is what it so, yeah.

Back to my Netflix and Chill day. Have a great day everyone

I'm so excited to watch the Leafs game tonight
We will bbq dinner right before the game starts so we can eat when it starts. Then we don't want snacks. We have been doing this for our big screen movie viewing too so haven't had popcorn in months!

It has been such a rainy lazy day!

Last night, I was grateful to get through 2 DVDs. And the rain started lightly in the evening, during which time I made a comment (around 10pm) how odd it sounded that someone was using fireworks (which sounded distant, not nearby off the major road) too. It's likely that the outdoor hydro wire was starting to act up but not loudly enough to make me look (we last had a wire sparking issue about 25+ yr ago when a dead squirrel hung upside down on one wire while it was sparking and we still had a maple tree near the wires).

Cue this morning-before 9am, it sounded like muffled fireworks on the street or someone on the property or in front of house kicking plastic bags of soil. Went to living room-a hydro wire was sparking orange showers. It looked like a giant cigarette lit end was tapping ash on the lawn. Called Hydro One (found out another person called in too) and fire truck came out, then two hydro trucks (ended up with 3 hydraulic lift trucks). While power came back briefly at 11:18am (it was turned off at 9:25am), it went out again until after 3pm? I had napped between 2-4:30pm then found out someone I don't care for was coming over to visit, plus Bro noticed that Internet is not working or the modem is the issue). I am wi-fiing it at the outdoor office in this gusty and now drizzling mobile office. Missing my friend's car!

Visited Shoppers to buy a magazine (points offer) and the 2 for $5 pop deal that ends today. Really pleased I put the photo order online yesterday--what if I had waited for today. Now I will wait for a photo kiosk print sale to get about 10-15 other prints printed in the future.

This weekend, I've become the sugar monster-any treats are getting consumed. No so subtle way to deal with heat and stress.
During the first hour of hydro repair, Mom did not want to smell the burning insulation of wire so all windows (except one opened a crack )were closed. It was muggy in the house at 9am and got worse so after 20min in my room, I headed to the basement for most of an hour to feel less like I had something pressing on my chest (it was not fun). All Mom would concede is for me to go outside in the wind but she would not relax on the windows and of course, fans were not going to be useful without power. Later, I went outside to look for tree branches and sweep off the number spider webs around basement windows.

At least Saturday was somewhat relaxing even though it was muggy walking around town. Today has been less fun. I am waiting another 30min before heading back home. Rain is on and off drizzle, but I have to watch the laptop lid as it is swaying in wind gusts. Tomorrow better not have any bad news in terms of unexpected and unwelcome visitors. Just not in the mood and there's weather coming too.

Will post over in The Other Money thread-have July tallied!

We had the corn from No Frills for dinner. It was 16 cents a cob and it was delicious. Both DH and I have the corn offer so I will make a trip on Wednesday for more. It has been so drizzly and humid today. I really just lounged around. 1 more day and it’s back to work but this is a supper short week for me as I am off Friday as one of my uncles passed away in the peak of the lockdown and so we have delayed his celebration of life until now. I had a Facebook sale yesterday, every bit counts.

Oh my word-we just had the first cleaning/damage walk through inspection on DD's apt-more to do even after many hrs of work. The lady said the final inspection will take about an hr-good grief I bet she will have her white gloves on!! Anyway DH and I will head home on Tuesday and then DD can do the final walk through with the lady-we will leave everything spic and span! I spent forever scrubbing green mildew off the balcony-it is way to dry in Calgary for mildew!!

    Good Morning Everyone,
Lilo so sorry for your loss

Lizzie WOW 1 hour for a final inspection. Sounds like every little corner will be inspected

Kitchen is clean which is nice, I cleaned it last night. I was hoping to wake up with some ambition this morning but nope. Had some trouble sleeping last night, the wind woke me up a few times.

It is much cooler this morning so I have the windows and doors open, hoping it stays cool all day. Last night just before dinner the humidity really seem to build. I am enjoying airing out the house as it seems to stuffy lately from having it all closed up to try to keep the heat out. I must say I am ready for Fall, I am enjoying these cooler temperatures.

As much I do not want too, I think I will spend half an hour at some point today trying to come up with a plan for tomorrow. I am feeling overwhelmed about everything that is now on my plate, I had not factored in covering someone for an undetermined time frame and staying on top of my own work. Don't get me wrong I like to help out wherever I can but I am happy my boss is on my side and has said a plan needs to be made as I cannot be the long term solution. This week is lining up to be a busy one so I am hoping if I can come up with a plan I won't feel so overwhelmed, anxious and stressed.

Thinking it might be another chill day and dive in head first tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day

SA-maybe you should pretend there is an inspection at the end of the day-lol. That made me find my ambition in a hurry-I really do not want to give her any reason to keep even a penny of the damage deposit!!

I posted a wanted ad to pick raspberries. I had one person respond before Facebook flagged my post as being against their policies. We took the kids to pick raspberries yesterday morning. There wasn’t a huge amount because it is towards the end of the season. My kids enjoyed the free berry snack. He welcomed me to contact him next year, to come back and pick again. He had already picked and frozen several bags of raspberries for the winter.

I sold carrots, some dill, and a zucchini yesterday for a total of $18. I have a list of people who want to buy various produce as it become available. I pm them, then make a post if I have extras to sell. I generally can’t keep up to the demand.

I did too much work in the garden yesterday and now my body is paying for it. My hands were a bit sore yesterday, but now most of my body aches.
