Dinner out tonight for DHs birthday. Not at all frugal, but it was a good meal and both our kids appreciate fine dining. This was supposed to be where we went for DS1 but the other restaurant was closed so we switched and will go to the other one next week. It will be a somewhat less expensive meal. DH also opted for no cake as we have had a lot of cake recently and for that my waistline is grateful.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I woke up early and as much as I wanted to go back to sleep, I did not. I think my sleep reset is finally kicking in but we are at that fine line of it working or going backwards. It is much harder to get up super early now that it is still dark when I get up.

I looked back on last week's to-do-list, I knew there were a number of things I did not get done because my schedule got messed up this week but I am happy and surprised with how much I did get done. I thought there was a lot more to carry over into this week.

I have started this week's to-do-list. Since they are saying they are coming to rip up the basement this week I need to switch up my plans for the weekend but I am hopeful once I get down there and get working on it, it won't take as much time as I think it will.

I also did this week's meal plan done, I am excited it is a good mixture of some classics we have not had in awhile and some new recipes for us to try.

Still need to do some grocery shopping at some point this week, I thought about going this morning to get it done but I know if I do that it will put me behind on what I need to get done around the house. So today I am going to focus on the house and find a time next week to do the rest of the shopping.

    Have a wonderful Saturday everyone.

Morning! What a beautiful day so far. There is a new hiking trail I want to check out.

Picked up DS and his friend at a friends house this morning ( a few of them had a late night and stayed over) and brought him home for a quick shower and then dropped him off at work.
Decided I would check out SDM since my 20x the points was wus $50 (it has been like $90 lately) and I had a $1.79 egg offer. Found enough needs to hit the $50 and then had coupons so paid $46.94 out of pocket and got the points. Love that this still works!!
Everything I bought was on sale. Stocked up on tampons, tp,kleenex, got dry shampoo for $1 2 foam play things for niece for $1 each a GUM plax stick for $1.50, cold med for oldest DS as he has a headcold and a few other things. The perfect little haul!!

Now off to have a shower and actually put make up on! Will hit Home Depot before I have to pick DS up at work and straight to 1st hockey practice of the season!

Just chilling today and because it is my birthday month indigo sent me a 20% off code so i used it on myself and treated myself to a lavender rocky mountain set saved $5.20 and i will pick up in store on the 15th. That felt so good as i am suffering with allergies right now -they are bad this year and we all need to treat ourselves .

The spinach stuffed pasta is on so thinking this would go nicely with garlic shrimp! Will make that one night soon. I also bought sweet potato fries for the air fryer. I have a garlic I picked up for $2 (reg $6.97 a local company makes) that will be perfect for dipping them in. Hoping I can talk DS into a nice burger and fries for dinner to try them out

DH and I did all the running around today-groceries, drugstore, bank, picked up a calendar for next year and voted as well. A productive day. Tomorrow my Mum 89 and aunt 82 are coming for lunch-next weekend I am taking them to Jasper so hoping we see some wildlife-and that the larch are starting to turn golden.
