Good Morning! We are getting closer to Friday! And we have sunshine woohoo!

DS has been doing his lawnmower maintenance in the garage. I think he will have to cut the grass today since it is really long now.

Dinner last night was BLSL chicken on the bbq, with green beans and peroigies. Leftover chicken in the fridge this morning still after DS ate late late last night.
Thinking we may go for a drive to Wasaga Beach tonight and walk the beach (before the crazy summer start of May 24 weekend and the crazy tourists take over the place) and then go for a free dinner at the casino. So nice to be able to drive and not worry about snow Trying to enjoy this sunshine/weather while we can.

Any grocery deals you plan on stocking up on this week? I think I will buy the perogies on sale at No Frills. ($1.99) I noticed our stock up is down to the last few bags. Both kids love them so I like to keep them stocked up.

    Have a wonderful day!

Good morning. Today is my Friday thank goodness. It’s been a super busy several weeks and I’m burning out. It’s been so much I got a fever blister/cold sore which could have been aggravated by playing pickle ball in the hot sun but most likely due to stress. I really need to figure out how to distress when I can’t run or workout. Our upcoming road trip will help.

It’s going to get HOT here. This weekend is going to be 34! I’m all for summer weather but it would be to ease into it. Going to water my garden this morning before leaving for work. Grocery shopping is in need for Friday. Time to check out the flyers.

Have a great day everyone. Stay safe and be happy

I had to pop out to my office so I stripped the bed first and tossed the bedding in the washer.
It is in the dryer now and I decided to put all the blankets from the basement couch in the washer for DS.
Will give him new pillow cases for all the pillows and he will have all fresh stuff for his tv viewing pleasure!

@Frugalbigmama My hit list for deals are mostly at NF this weekend. Corn on the cob, watermelon!! ( this will be the first of many for us for the summer ) , Sabra hummus, 18 large eggs, and maybe a case of 24 Coke Zero, as their price is the cheapest ( $10.49 ) of the jacked up prices that are everywhere for pop.
I'll have to actually go to FB to get the Red Prince apples, jumbo naval oranges, blueberries, fresh pineapple and a 2L carton of Lactancia Pure Filter.
( that is a sale! @ $3.99 ) I know the bagged milk is cheaper but we don't drink enough to get through the 3 bags before they turn.
The guys still have 2 pkgs left of that plastic cheese they eat, but I'll grab another 2 of the BD slices at $1.88 ea. ugh, shudder I just cannot eat that stuff.
Dang, just noticed I will have to PM a couple of things from WM. Beef steak tomatoes and ataulfo mangoes. Better wear my track shoes, seems like way too much work! lol

Bed is made with fresh bedding.
    All clean laundry put away.
Just need to put couch blankets in the dry once they are done.
Lunch bbq'd and DS is in the garage working on my list (needed legs taken off an old wood table) and he found the tool I needed for something.
Another productive day and its not even 1pm yet!

Well went to No Frills to get the watermelon but they seemed small to me?
Bought eggs and 2 bags of pasta.

Then popped in Walmart and grabbed 2 x 24pk water (this case was $7 US when we were in Florida a few months ago...crazy)
We drink the water from the tap at home but I like the bottles for road trips. ( I fill my water bottles when in the car but for days long road trips need more (Not paying $3+ per bottle for it on the road)
The Heinz 3pk of relish/mustard and ketchup was on for $3.97. and grabbed a Hellmans for $4.47 (after $1 coupon)
    Can't run out of condiments!

I picked a watermelon up a few weeks ago when RCSS had a sale, I was a bit nervous because it’s so early but wow it was good, the younger one announced it was like a summertime watermelon.
The warm weather is nice because clothes are back on the line and drying quick. This week it wa all the bed lines and couch blankets.
I hope all is well with Sassy, she has not been on for a few days.

Super long day today and traffic was miserable as usual. We hit up Safeway since it was on our way home, and I was way too tired to drive elsewhere. Picked up what we thought was a few things, all on sale and still managed to spend $76 despite saving $14 . Oh well, that’s what happens when you’re exhausted.

Made a huge nacho platter with black beans and veggies. Easy, delicious, nutritious and filling.

Tomorrow’s laundry and cleaning the house day. Yay

    Good Morning Everyone,
    Oh, what a week.

Tuesday I had a meeting with my boss and our regional manager to have my voice heard. It was a good meeting most of my "wants" I got. I made it very clear that training is my department and I am always open for a discussion but since no one understands all of the aspects of what I do I need to be included. I am not against help or other ideas but we need to look at all aspects before we jump in head first.

After that meeting, the regional manager and myself headed out of town to spend some time in one of our branches. We spent the night and spent Wednesday in Branch with their staff. Then when we got back I went into our local branch to talk to them as they will be pilot branches for some of the new initiatives we hope to start. Let's make sure the initiatives work for our company before we roll it our company-wide as a lot of my resources will be used to roll out company-wide.

Yesterday, I was working from home trying to do all of the things. On top of the new goals and initiatives I have for 2023 we currently have 4 open positions to fill that will need training and it looks like 2 may be filled just waiting for all the background stuff to be finalized.

I did get our grocery shopping done yesterday, I ended up going to Freshco and Food Basics this time instead of No Frills. I will share what I bought a little later. I was mostly looking for produce this week but there were a few other good deals.

    Happy Friday Everyone

    Good Morning and Happy Friday!
    Another day of sunshine!

The drive was nice yesterday. Gambled a bit. Won a good chunk . Dinner was Mushroom rigatoni and ceaser salad. Have most of the pasta for my lunch today because after a few bites last night I was so full! I bet it will taste even better today!

Today- Work in the office day. Get all the things done. Then enjoy the weekend!

Today is a work from home and I am working on some intricate things so I am making sure to take some breaks because I ended my day yesterday with a headache from focusing on my screen too much.

I work for 1.5 to 2 hours and then take a break.

I have laundry going, the last load is in the dryer now. Lots hanging on the rack to dry.

I cleaned up the kitchen, it was a bit of a mess because we ran the dishwasher but since I was away it was not emptied, I meant to empty it yesterday but it did not happen. So I emptied the dishwasher, reloaded it and did the hand dishes.

I still need to clean out the fridge and figure out what needs to be used up this weekend. I know I have some Banana and Blueberries that will become muffins.

Getting things done but can't wait for this work day to be over. It is to nice to be stuck inside and office.

My leftovers for lunch were really good. Tasted better today then last night. I brought melon too that I can't wait to dig into. It is like a treat!

It’s 10am and I’ve washed 2 loads of blankets (1 still needs to be dried), emptied our closet, completely vacuumed our room including baseboards, headboard, blinds , windows and even vacuumed the walls. Yes I’m THAT person . Oh and I watered my garden at 7am.

I’ve quarantined that room off and I’m getting ready to do the same clean in the living room and the Peloton room. Hopefully I can do the kitchen too and that includes pulling out the fridge and stove. Wish me luck.

I actually enjoy doing deep spring cleaning every couple of months and unfortunately it’s been longer than usual so I have more work to do since I’ve been beyond busy and stressed. It helps de stress me.

Stopping for a quick coffee break and a browse of SC.

    Have a great Friday everyone
