I took our kids to a church’s free clothing program. It’s the third time that I’ve gone there for clothes and it was a wonderfully positive experience. I hadn’t accessed their free clothing program since our twins were toddlers.I had tried to attend the scheduled evening last week, but the volunteer forgot to open it. Anyway, we came home with way more stuff than I had expected. I was able to get clothes for twin girl, teaching clothes for myself, and 4 nice shirts for Dh. We also got a pair of kids winter boots, slipper socks, a new bookbag for twin girl, 3 zippered binders, and a Tupperware lunch container. She told me that she’s still sorting recent donations that would likely fit twin girl and invited me to come back again soon. They don’t have a change room there, so we tried on stuff at home and we’re donating back the items that were too small. I’ll also donate other items from our home. I’ve donated a lot to their program over the years, so I don’t feel bad picking up clothes today. The lady was wonderful, helping find items that weren’t currently out on the floor. She made me feel very welcome and I feel very thankful. It made me tear up. She reminded me that this program is here to help anyone, clothes and back to school can be expensive.
This time next week I might be unloading my van at the rental house. 😞 I’ll get paid in a month, my lady pay cheque was late June.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

Managed to get some grocery shopping done on the weekend as no other time to do so with current schedule and DS here. Thankful for sale @ NF of Royale Facial tissue at $3.33 for a 6 pack. Nose has been running like a faucet in the midst of this summer heat!. I will not complain as @walkonby has been having an even rougher time.Hopefully we'll both be better soon! Also at NF took advantage of No Name Peanut Butter 1kg. for just over $2.00 with card. Not for myself but for food bank.Always enjoy getting more bang for my money especially when for a good cause.
DS last few days here before starting his trip back to Oz. Doesn't matter how old they get as still your kid, so leaving still hard but they have their lives to live too.
Not too long before school starting again so everyone enjoy these last few weeks of summer with family.
Be the blessing you would have others be to you!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Good Morning Everyone,
I told myself this week was going to be different, I was going to get back into my routines, I was going to reset and refocus and now it is Wednesday I am just riding the waves of chaos.
Monday I was in a branch training a manager, after training I went to the doc and got my shot. Tried to pick up Mom's prescription but it was not ready. Monday night I dug out my old laptop table from our old house because my new table, the leg snapped. The old table is working in a pinch but not a long-term solution, it does not tilt and I find it uncomfortable to work at for long periods of time.
Tuesday back to branch, phase 1 is done, yay!!!!! Got Mom's perscription on the way home but decided against grocery shopping. We have enough to make it until the flyers change.
I have an online meeting this morning so I am working from home as the branch I have been working in this week does not have anywhere private to take the meeting.
I am doing laundry this morning and I cannot believe I did this. I forgot to put in fabric softener and detergent. I was in the basement putting it in the washer and deciding between running a regular or a large cycle but realized if I ran the large cycle, I would not get laundry done before my meeting so I put on the regular cycle. Then it hit me, 12 minutes before the cycle would end, I completely forgot to put in detergent and fabric softener so I had to re-run the cycle with detergent and fabric softener added. UGH, best-laid plans especially since I made myself get up at 5 so I could have the laundry done before my meeting.
Happy Wednesday2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I love reading new-to-me phrases. Like the one in your post @SassyAshley " riding the waves of chaos " . I got a visual reading that....lol
I'd say you're coping pretty well this week.....considering the load of duties on your long lists each week.
Me? Oh, I partially cleaned the downstairs bathroom. Not much to do with the sink/toilet as they are kept up regularly, but I did have to climb DH's
step ladder in order to survey the top of the large wall vanity. I never put any of my stuff up there so resentment did creep into my brain as I realized
how much the dust had clumped! The light fixture too. so much dust! Gah! Was it wrong to toss out a few things of DS's and DH's? Nope.
Next, I took everything out so I could really sweep the entire floor. Bins, mats, knick knacks, towel towers, decorative water feature, if it wasn't nailed
down it went out of the bathroom. Then the shower and I faced off! I climbed inside and holding a bare razor blade ( taken out of the Fibre knife ) I
scraped the entire inside surface of the 3 glass doors. Then suds each one up well and after the final spray rinse they all sparkled.
Sadly I ran out of energy after that, so the vacuuming of all the mats will be this afternoon. I'll store that pretty water feature away for a while
( DUST collector! ) and same goes for the smaller decor. I won't miss them.
When I punch in my exercises for the day on my Lose It online page I am going to count THIS as a workout! ha ha

Good Day! Expecting rain today. Hopefully it gets it out of its system and brings a nice weekend!
Had a nice dinner with family Monday night. Received my free pot and a big win
.
Woke up Tuesday morning with a stomach bug. Made myself sick to try and make myself better. It worked..sort of. Stayed in bed all day and had no appetite but wasn't sick again so that was a good thing. Wednesday morning didn't feel 100% but by late afternoon felt much better.
I think everyone had the Lotto offer from Loblaws? Receive 1,000 pts for every $4 spent on Lotto. I don't buy lotto too often but do like to buy Lotto 649 or Max when the jackpot is big. Had a bunch of change to unload so spent $16 on tickets (1 lotto 649 and a bunch of scratch tickets) So initial out of pocket $16. Received 4,000PC pts and won $19 on the scratch tickets and still have to check the Lotto 649 ticket. Not bad for chasing some extra points and a chance to be a millionaire
Dinner last night was the Rotisserie chicken meal deal from RCSS. Had an offer to receive 2250 PC pts with over $15 spent on ready made meals etc. Received 300 pts for the bread but not the other. Put in an inquiry and the 2250 pts were added to my account.
My plan was to redeem $20 in pts since the total should have come to $20.34 with tax. But my store seems to do an extra discount so the total was $18.04 so it messed up my plan and I just paid for it. It did the trick for me since I was starving after not eating for 48 hrs and needed something substantial. The wedges were garbage though ( I only tried one) But the bread with butter made up for it
I think next time I will just buy the chicken for $9.99 if we feel like it (cheaper then buying one to cook ourselves).
1.5 days left of work and then vacation
We leave Monday for the Grotto (Tobermory) Google it if you haven't heard of it. Absolutely beautiful. Feels like you are in another country on vacation. The water is cold and will take your breath away (I really felt like I was having a heart attack! but you have to experience it to say you did it
Will get stuff done around the house on the weekend and then Sunday prep for it.
Hope you all have a great day!

thank you for posting
we just bought 5 tickets online to see Barbie, we do not have the Cinemaclub membership but do have scene membership and there's an online booking fee of $1 per ticket for scene members; $1.50 per ticket for non-member and $0 for cinemaclub members.
5 tickets at $4 = $20
online booking fee $6 - $2 discount for having scene membership.
then of course 5% tax
my husband, me, our two girls and my younger sister. All the ladies and girlies will be wearing PINK. My hubby refused to wear pink.

Saw this article and was kind of surprised Kleenex will not longer be available in Canada:
