    Good Morning Everyone,
My mind and body are very torn right now.

My mind is telling me get up there is so much to be done, we need to get sh*t done.

My body is saying, nope, don't want to, let's curl up on the couch under a blanket and drink tons of tea and watch the new season of Love is Blind (yes, I am reality show girl).

In all honesty, I am on pinterest right now, I am supposed to be looking for dinner ideas but I have gone down the rabbit hole of crochet patterns. Not sure what it is but I am obsessed with gnomes today.

I wanted to crochet last night but I did not have the yarn I needed in the living room, now I could have gone upstairs and grabbed the yarn I needed but I knew if I went upstairs I was going to bed so I did not crochet last night.

Alright I need to try to get my body moving and see what I can knock out.

    Happy Saturday Everyone.

After all, if part of the roast is slightly over-done, at least the entire roast will be edible.

Anyone have a better suggestion for checking the temperature of a roast? The part I just ate seemed perfect and was delicious. Maybe, as I cut further into the roast, I'll find the meat over-cooked. I am surprised at how much fat I have to trim and toss; might be as much as a quarter of the entire roast!
It takes time, but cooking sous-vide will produce roasts that are cooked completely evenly. It can be done without a sous-vide stick using a cooler and a thermometer to check the water temp.. I tried this before buying a stick.

At what temperature do you keep the water?

I took advantage of the Sobeys gift card offer. In Nova Scotia we can get the 100 Scene points or a voucher for 25 cents off 75 litres of gas. The voucher is good for a month so I bought 2 gift cards as we drive back in 3 weeks and will easily use this. I can also use the gift card at the gas station which is awesome as it would take me months to spend 200.00 at Sobeys.
Tonight we are dog sitting from my brother, they have two dash hounds and they are zonked out on the couch with me.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Happy Sunday, I slept in and now feel like I have lost half the morning LOL. It is a little after 9:30 but I feel like it should be 8 so that is fun.

Yesterday I did not tackle anything major, I just mainly tidied up, most of the pantry stuff is now downstairs obviously waiting to be put away, this is me. But I did realize I forgot to take down the Chicken Broth because it was in the Hallway not in the Kitchen so need to take that down today.

I did some general tidying up, see if I could get my house in order, I have no issues tidying up but all these big projects are what get me.

Last night we made Beef Stroganoff for Dinner, forgot to cook a veggie. Originally I was thinking Meatloaf for dinner tonight but we had beef last night so I will see what Mom thinks when she gets up.

I pulled out my yarn yesterday and tried crocheting a Candy Cane, they are cool looking but bigger than I expected so we will see if I use them for my gifts or not, time will tell.

I think today first and foremost, I will clean out the fridge but honestly, I do not think there is anything in there that needs to go so I can get the garbage out, they are calling for storms this afternoon so I want to get that done.

I haven't really thought about prep, I did grate cheese and cook Rice on Friday so that is done. I did start a meal plan so I will look that over and see if there is anything I can prep ahead. Now that I am thinking about it maybe I will make a loaf of bread to have on hand, this weather is screaming Soup and Stew season and some nice homemade bread is always nice.

I should also clean up my work basket it is overflowing and I cannot find anything.

Well I guess we will see where the day takes me. Happy Sunday Everyone.

Hello windy here and mild so hung a load on the line

We split our hosta and black eyed susans and gave them to our 75 year old neighbour she needs plants that wont need much tending too as her age .She said she may give me a few homemade buns later yummmmm, she already gives me about 3 or 4 jars of homemade jam a year for cutting their front lawn (no divide between our front lawn as its on the curve of a crescent.)

My sweet granddaughter Ashlyn is turning 11 today so we called this morning ,she is having a lazer tag birthday .

It was a lovely fall day here, I went out for a walk. Then did some cleaning. I have a light day tomorrow for work so pan to do laundry to be able to use the clothes line as the weekend was too overcast and unless we have sun or wind the laundry never dries. My brother and SIL came over for dinner so I decided to bake a brownie. It’s been ages as it’s just DH and I so this was a nice treat.

Happy Monday! Gloomy start to the day here this morning.

Steps- I am on a mission to get my steps in everyday. Noticed many days in a row I was not moving and that is not good!
Yesterday morning I walked the downtown core and popped in No Frills. Then popped over to the Farmers Market (this was all with dark clouds and a storm blowing in- tried to get my steps in before the storm!) Then went home and made meatballs for dinner and a meatloaf for the freezer for a dinner next week one night. After the storm I went to Starbucks for a latte and walked around Canadian Tire, RCSS and then parked at a little mall and went to Giant Tiger and Dollarama.
Today- I will get going on laundry and then get out for a walk this afternoon. I can see brightness behind the clouds so hoping that means a nice afternoon. If not I will go to the gym and walk the track. Think I will do that for sure anyway since I need to pick up the new fitness schedule.

Went to a travel show with my sister Saturday morning. I won a prize at one of the presentations (sunglasses and a toiletry bag- DS will like the sunglasses and I will use the bag for travel) We picked up lots of info. We are planning a group trip again in March so we need to get on it!

    Have a wonderful day!

    Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday did not go as planned and I feel like it is spilling into today.

Yesterday I cleaned the bathroom, except the floor, Mom woke up and needed the bathroom. Then I gathered up garbage and went to check the fridge and realized, OH YEAH, I bought two family packs of ground beef I need to deal with plus the sausages I grabbed at Costco, guess the garbage is not going out yet.

Before the storm even blew in my lights were flickering so I was hesitant on baking so I focused on the meats and produce. I started to hear thunder in the distance so I ran the garbage out and it started to rain on my way back in. The storm was not as bad as they were calling for but oddly, for some reason I got a weather headache after the storm this time so fell asleep on the couch.

Last night well I made dinner I also made a loaf of homemade bread, I am hooked, I love this recipe and for Dinner I made Loaded Baked Potato Soup.

This morning I slept in, I have all weekend been randomly waking up in the night and cannot fall back asleep, it happened again last night and I was up for over an hour and a half so guess who fell back asleep after they turned off their alarm. I finally got up and was getting my day started when I got a request for a last minute meeting so I had to rush to eat something before the meeting.

It is now 10:30 and I feel like I can finally start my day. Lots to get done for work, still need to finish some cleaning so we will see where the day takes me. As well Mom asked me to run some errands for her but might see if I can put those off and just focus on work and the house today.

    Happy Monday Everyone.
