@coupon girl that's the only time I redeem my points ( when they offer the discounts ) but in the past I've gotten GC's for the kids or for groceries for us.
This gas savings really helps for us now. Trying to build up my Petro points again to load onto my gas savings card.

Dollarama seems to no longer carry the Hercules 21l kitchen garbage bags. The shelf space was stocked with mostly large garbage bags except for the $4.50 boxes of Glad 25l bags! Think I am not the only surprised shopper to see items disappearing for good.
Still no Nivea creme soft soaps. Mitt selection on endcap was too small for my gloves
I put the soap into flyer search and the one listing that appeared is for Shoppers online at $8.99 for four bars. Link from flyer led me to app store, not the website (I have searched at SDM online and the soap does not appear when Nivea is searched, despite Nivea Canada still listing soap on its website). Might be time to see if Denningers has the soap stocked as stores carry German made Nivea products or maybe Starsky's(lots of European personal care items).
Has anyone visited Bed and Bath warehouse at Queenston and Nash in east-end Hamilton recently? Any Target merch finds or personal care item deals?
Yesterday at Shoppers-the cardboard stand of Joe Fresh winter accessories is gone. Some items were in clearance area, as two pairs of kids' gloves were seen along with women's wool blend beret and many themed socks. I mistook the shelves of Nivea stick deodorants next to clearance items as clearance. Nivea products were on sale per flyer but no price labels were displayed (section was near post office, not in personal care section). My bill showed in store 1000 PC Opt pts-only thing that makes sense is it probably could be connected to the stick deodorant. My personal offers do not have personal care pts showing. The current flyer has buy 2 get 3000 PCOpt pts offer for roll-on Nivea deodorant, a certain bodywash, and a third item.
Did see two models of Logitech mice on sale. The bottled pop sitting in this clearance area since last month without labels or coupons were regular price, thus eligible for 20% off. Bought a Poker Lotto All-In ticket also. No win.
Today, finally some mail this week. M&M Food Market and Giant Tiger flyers plus bank statements and three smaller ad mail pieces. Realized only one monthly set of statements were never received, as I caught up with matching utility/service invoices to the existing statements. Have some other documents to corral into a folder soon.

It has been an interesting week trying to see if our daughter can claim her birth father's ashes from the cemetery to re inter with his parents. His Dad opened the niche and now he has passed his daughter would be in charge of decisions. However she is in hospital and no longer mentally competent. Might need a paper trail of death certificates, adoption records etc to prove my daughter should be allowed to claim them. Apparently there is also some money to come back which could then be used to re inter. Man little did I know that when we adopted life could get so complicated-seems you also adopt the whole birth family!
Anyway DD is hoping to visit next week( and pick up the naughty grand dog) so hopefully it all gets sorted out!
Her auntie in Nfld has been a great help in trying to sort things out-she is talking to the social worker to see if a letter could be written giving my daughter permission to get the remains.Last edited by lizzie bargain; Thu, Jan 23rd, 2025 at 10:09 AM.

Happy Thursday! It has been snowing here heavy non-stop all day long!
I've been sick in bed the past few days- today back at work and feeling much better.
DS just returned from work and cleared the driveway. I went out quickly to grab him sandwich meat - it was terrible- school bus in a fender bender at a main intersection. One stop and back home! At least my vehicle got out for a run.
Friend asked me out to lunch today and offered to pick me up but asked for a raincheck for tomorrow for dinner. I'm hungry but I don't think I can really eat much yet so didn't want to push it. Hopefully the weather is done tomorrow so we can go to our beach fav spot. They have the best ceaser salad. They make it with Kale not romaine and the dressing is amazing!!
Went to the mailbox but no $200 cheques for any of us yet (see other Smart Canucks posting they have received) Our mailbox was full. So many flyers and still receiving mutliple letters for previous owner (going on 15 years!!!) I use to send back return to sender for years...now I just recycle.
I looked over the new flyers quickly but nothing really intrigued me. Will be a simple shopping week for us.

@Frugalbigmama , happy to hear you are feeling better.
There are so many things going around right now. The branch I have been working in this week I think today was the first day this week everyone was in.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I am having one of those weeks where I feel like it has been a week but really it has not. I think it is because I am trying to be mindful, I have my first trainee of the year and I know this is where I can get off course with balance. Since I spend most of my day in training it is very easy to have to come home and work all night but I have been mindful to be done by 5 at the latest but I am aiming for 4. So far, so good.
Yesterday when I was done work I ran to Wal-Mart to grab a few things and my trick of checking online before I went backfired. Since I knew it was the last day of the sale I checked to see if what I wanted was in stock, website said everything was stock but none of it was in stock. But I still grabbed:
Veloutine, Rolaids for Mom and found her some new fuzzy socks.
I knew I needed to work late last night because I needed to do testing when everyone was logged out but only worked 9 hours (which for me is good).
I did not see a lot in the flyers we needed but need to run into work today so stopped to grab the few things we did need:
Sour Cream (Gay Lea is on sale but No Name was the same price and I had a PC offer so grabbed the No Name)
Mushrooms
Garlic
Green Onions (PM Freshco)
No Yolk Noodles (PM Food Basics)
Bananas
I had planned to go to Costco this week but with the cold weather I was going to hold off but I am out of Cesar Dressing and my new fav is a Cucumber Salad with César Dressing, Parm and Pita Chips so I was going to grab one at No Frills to get me by (forgot to grab one at Wal-Mart). They have been out for two weeks as I tried to grab one last week as well. Went to the more expensive store in town, it was $0.50 more than No Frills but will get me to my next Costco Trip.
Tonight I am going to make Butter Chicken for dinner, I stocked up last week when it was on sale. Wal-Mart has Soya Sauce on sale which I also need to stock up on but they were out and I cannot price match it so hoping I can find some next week. My local one is now showing out of stock so I will watch the App.
I am done work for the day but think I will write a to-do list for tomorrow as I have some meetings but want to get everything knocked out so I don't have to worry about anything.
I am super excited to have a weekend of nothing, hoping I can get caught up on some house stuff. That is my plan and will also write a to-do list for the weekend so hopefully I can stay focused.
Happy Thursday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
