ty very much @SassyAshley and @flemeth wrt Claudius. It's rather comical the way he is now avoiding me altogether.
When I approach him he does his best getaway run, and I try not to laugh. Probably broke his trust yesterday by holding
him down in the sink to wash away that dried blood.Last edited by walkonby; Sat, Jan 17th, 2026 at 09:03 AM.

Lizzie so glad your bag was turned in ,there is good people out there.
Woke up at 1.00 a.m to our carbon monixide detector going off ,as we had a power outage. We checked and it was the dectector 12 years old the outage triggered it .
Needless to say it took awhile to get the battery out .It is no good anymore .
Power was out for 3 hours house was freezing .We need to get a new one they only last 10 -12 years .Infact in ontario now they want one on each level of your house new law jan 1/26.
At least we went back to sleep at 5.00 a.m just woke up now .
Walkonby hope claudius is feeling better .Last edited by coupon girl; Sat, Jan 17th, 2026 at 10:12 AM.

Apparently security found it shortly after I lost it-why it took a whole week to notify me when my husband was calling daily is beyond me but anyway...

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I slept in this morning which I knew was much needed. I am still not feeling 100% after having that cold, I feel like my sinuses have not recovered. So I knew I needed a good night sleep, only downside is when I sleep in past 7, I wake up with no ambition and want to do nothing.
I forced myself to get up and see what I could get done and I think once I got going, I did pretty well.
Well I had my tea I ran the dishwasher as I did not do it last night.
I went down to do a clean cycle on my washing machine because when I did the bedding with every load it was asking me to run a clean cycle.
Well I was down there, I did a pantry tidy, not a lot to be put away I think there were 3 grocery bags mostly with Pasta, Crackers spices and some other oddities. As well I had 2 bags of potatoes I put in a box.
Then I emptied the dishwasher.
Headed outside to finish the shovelling I did not do yesterday. Everything was melting and since I did not want the cars to freeze tonight (a light layer or snow as melting) I cleaned those off as well.
Originally the plan was to come back in and clean the bathroom but I might have overdressed to do the shovelling and just needed a shower. So I took a shower instead.
Now I have a load of laundry in the washer, normally I do our laundry in one day but think since I got a late start (normally I start it as soon as I get up) I will do one load today and one tomorrow.
Now to make a second cup of tea and figure out something for dinner tonight and maybe a homemade dessert, I do have some apples to use up.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Found 2x pudding cups and an abandoned Rage portable speaker in the Walmart parking lot.
Walked into RCSS and saw a lady getting a cart from the attendant. A protein bar dropped off. I asked if she wanted her 'bonus' and she declined. So, I took it home.
Got 4x 591mL bottles of lemonade for $0.74 each and 4x 110g pouches of Werthers on clearance for $0.94 each.My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Happy Monday Morning! Snow day for the kids in my area. I guess they are expecting high winds and snow this afternoon so the drive home may be a mess.
The chicken I was going to make for dinner last night is still in the fridge marinating so that will be the main star for dinner tonight. It will be so garlicy
Paper towel- I haven't bought it in a long long time. Like everything else the $$$ is crazy. Not sure the best deal but found at Walmart Royale 2pk-(double rolls so it says 2-4) on for $4.97 and used a $2 coupon. Not a bad price I don't think. Bought a few and will hide them from the others lol
No Frills- Had to go to the bank to deposit $ so popped in the store across the street. They had Bob's bacon (cheapy bacon) on for $1.64. Found 2 good packages. Cooked up half a package for DS to make breakfast sandwiches and portioned the rest to the freezer. It was actually really good!
Going to start the kitchen cupboard clean out today. Starting with the dishes- Have a nice set of at least 8 glasses I am for sure posting on the Give site. We just don't use them and when we do they are a pain to wash by hand (cut myself) They are dishwasher glasses only! And they just take up too much room! Very excited to go through all the tupperware.... that will be one nice big box out of my house! I hope the weather is nice tomorrow so people can pick up as I post...I've put it off while the weather was crappy but I want the stuff gone and don't want to hold it once I decide it can go.
Hoping for a productive house cleaning week!
Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
