Good morning, everyone.

Every time I think this year is going to get better, another thing happens. Am very worried about one of my closest friends - D's 94 yr old Mom fell yesterday & broke her hip. She's in rough shape. I'm close to her too, so I'm upset as well (worried about both of them, actually).

They can use all the prayers & good thoughts y'all can send them.

Lily dog just came bouncing over, but stopped dead when she saw me. She's now throwing toys at me to try to cheer me up (she knows I can never resist, no matter how upset I am).

I find that Thoughts can be kept to one's Self, but Prayers must be Given Away.
They are Useless otherwise.

Congrats Pink Panther on the Roger Waters win! Actually, Attitash is right, you do have to pay the departure taxes. Mine cost $124/person for the Portland trip.

yes most trips say you have to pay the taxes, but when I won the trip to Mexico I didn't have to pay one cent which was great!!! not for food, drinks, tax etc...........

You had to pay taxes?
Last August when I won the trip to New York to see Lynyrd Skynyrd and Doobie Brothers, I didn't pay any taxes. Could it be that we flew out of the island airport? But that shouldn't make a difference.

I think it depends on the give-away. Must have been included in yours. The rules & regulations for this contest states that we are responsible for departure taxes and insurance.
