Site Under DDoS Attack

Hi everyone. The site has been under a DDoS attack for the last 16 hours or so, and this happened to the blog last week as well (and in March as well for the blog). We are back up for the time being but still being attacked. When the attack began it was on the order of 15 Gbit/sec inbound traffic. It has since subsided some...

Honestly, DDoS'ing a Canadian coupons/shopping deals website over and over? I don't really get it.

Sorry for the downtime but there isn't much else to do about it right now. For today, email notifications will not be going out. That should start again late tonight.

Uh?? What does DDos mean?? I understand the word attack, but am confused what the other is.

The easiest way to think of it is how we crash a site when a freebie goes live, you know how it slows down and you get an error page etc? Imagine someone doing that on purpose times a million using software to do it instead of just ppl wanting a freebie

I had several other vBulletin hosted sites messing around earlier today so I just thought it was a server issue..
