Not a tip DH666. . . .just a plausable defense to a blanket description of religion. Have a great night!

too true Patty....evil is in the heart of man.
Deciding to blame god/devil/superatural enitites is removing responsiblity like a first-grader saying " miss, s/he made me do it" rather than take responsibilty for one's own actions..
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

I'm certainly sorry if I offended you Patty, but as I said to DH666, sometimes labelling "all" religion in the same breath as murderers can make one a tad defensive too. . . .

And now two more US marines killed in an attack...I'm so angry right now! What right have those people got that gives them to right to KILL?! I say everyone pull out and like Dave said, let them fight it out among themselves until only two are left. Then we can put them in an arena and settle the whole damn thing!
How DARE they??!!! I'm incensed!

DH, I think they just feel defeated, you know? Like in that song...."no where to run, baby...no where to hide..."...they lash out at anything that isn't of 'them'. It just breaks my heart to see Tahrir Square in Cairo and the bridge we walked on in such turmoil...we met some lovely people there and I just hope they're safe and not involved in the anger and destruction.....
I also think, and it's just my opinion, that they get ... what's the word ... revved up by those who want to do harm to the US, whether it's the Taliban or whoever...I'm sure it doesn't take much to have people believe that their hardships are caused by another country...another race...it's happened before...

Film-maker arrested for parole violations
A man linked to an anti-Islam video that sparked riots across the Muslim world has been held without bail after a hearing in Los Angeles, California.
A judge said Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, was a flight risk and cited a pattern of deception when making her ruling.
Nakoula was investigated for violating probation terms after he was released from prison in 2011 for bank fraud.
He has not been detained over the contents of the inflammatory video.
Nakoula, a 55-year-old Christian originally from Egypt, allegedly produced the 14-minute trailer for the film Innocence of Muslims.

Doesn't that justify all this killing? I don't get passionate about political stuff, but I do get rather riled up when 'Freedom' is blamed as the culprit for provoking other people to commit violent acts.
It equally riles me up when the very people who do risky jobs to protect those freedoms are scorned and attacked for doing it.
Obama killed Osama and we love Obama, but we still despise the CIA, Navy, Border Agents, State Department Operatives etc etc who actually put themselves at risk to do the job.
The stupid youtube video is not what caused all this violence.
OK my rant is over. One day that rant could be a crime which would make me a criminal and an outlaw. Love me while you can.
