Of course there will be some scers who use this coupon...but for me, this made me throw up in my mouth a little:
Clover Leaf canned smoked oysters or mussels...save .40 cents.
(if you do want some, i did pick up a few, expiry dates are Dec. 2013)
Have you come across any weird coupons? Did you actually redeem some to try a new product? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

My dh loves the tins of sardines .... when left to cope on his own he will undoubtably have a side of sardines .... I can't stand the smell.... I haven't come across any coups for the sardines though
And Lois .... there is a similar recipe in the Best of Bridge ... a layered crab dish .... way yummier with crab rather than oysters (IMHO) .... and some chile sauce on top .... one of my fav stand-bys when you need a fast appie.

There are at least five different coupons out there right now that are good on the Clover Leaf Smoked Oysters or Smoked Mussels. Here are pics of the two that are for .40 off WUB1. The first one expires Dec.31 '12 and the second one expires Dec.31 '13.
I grew up in Southern Alberta and always thought that a freshly opened tin of smoked oysters or mussels, some toothpicks and some stubby bottles of Lethbridge Pilsner was all you needed for drinks and appies!

I have a few different ones that are $1 WUB2, not sure on the expiry of those though. I wouldn't eat them either, but no doubt my husband would...... he'd eat anything.

Gosh, we eat those all year round! Great for a snackie on crackers with cheese, pickles, sausage, etc.
Haven't tried the mussels, just the oysters.
Also, a heads-up - the NN ones are almost the same taste/quality, and often are $1. London Drugs usually has the CL for $1 - hoping they do again before Christmas.

Not my cup of tea, but a nice late expiry for those who like them!

ick. But DH will eat the oysters when he is left to fend for himself. It disgusts me that I have a small oyster stockpile. I recoil whenever I see it.

and I eat muskrat at Christmas... In Toronto I found cheese flavored meal worms in a candy store, which I served to my nieces and nephews after I had one. I can say I sometimes find coupons for things I'm not so fond of, but also keep in mind that food is food. We all have different tastes and in dire situations, people have eaten worse.
