yes! I love cookbooks, I put some on my WL, but I can't remember if I specified I would accept gently used
I'm 32, single mom to a 3 yr old boy. I make diaper cakes, bows, chocolates, treats, candy apples, and dabbing into sewing.
I'm handy around the house, love to read, but now I have an e-reader so I don't use actual books anymore, we play games and am in the process of loosing weight through weight watchers. I try to be active (when I'm not busy creating treats etc)
LOVE THEM!
Hot beverage would be tea....just plain tea for me though.
Personalized would be GREAT! Nothing has my sons name on it so he has nothing like that.
I love cookbooks, right now I'm looking into chocolates, treats, candy, cake pops, wtc. but i love anything slowcooker (LOVE MINE)
Oh lord, the 1st 40 was hard enough LOL
3 additional wishes under $10.00 - Beautiful star ornament, any great used dvd
3 additional wishes under $5.00 - scratch card, blank cds (I know you can get some from the $$ store)
3 additional wishes under $2.00 - Pen Holder, Organizing items
GC in any of the above amounts would be lovely (McDonalds, Subway, Indigo/Chapters/Coles, WM)
Dollar Store items are great, just no food or beauty items please...or or markers for my son from there....they washable ones are NOT washable.
My color - pink, turquoise
DS - Red, Blue
No sports for me
DS - soccer, tball, swimming lessons
I have lots of hobbies - scrapbooking, reading, baking, making chocolates, making candy, sewing
DS hobbies - making my life miserable...just teasing. Playing with cars or trains, coloring, drawing, cutting with scissors
Me - chips, chocolate, tootsie rolls, Licorice (red only), anything I'm not supposed to have
DS - Peanuts, chips, chocolates, kit kat, tootsie rolls
Movie - A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation
Song - Away in a Manger, Rudolph, Frosty.....I LOVE Carols
Quo, Covergirl, Almay
Me too!
Not sure what happened to the quotes for these 2 questions:
Color inside - Blue, silver, white, pink
Tools - YES! I'm very handy.Last edited by trish1980; Tue, Oct 9th, 2012 at 01:45 PM.

More answers along with a few questions at the end!
1. Christmas Cartoon – Mmm…we’re kid free at the moment (LB’s 4 days away from his/her due date, so the only Cartoons I can think of at the moment are if there were a Family Guy or Simpson’s holiday movie…bahaha!)
2. Christmas Movie: K, there are a few here… Badder Santa (don’t judge!!! Haha)…Muppet Christmas Carol and Very Merry Muppet Christmas are tops for me and I don’t own them for some reason!…. the Muppet Family Christmas sounds intriguing though! Didn’t know about that one!
3. Cookie Cutters? Mmmm…baking’s not a strength/passion of mine, but I’d like to try gingerbread this year…so big cutters I can decorate? AND a good recipe for gingerbread wouldn’t hurt either! Haha. Person shapes, mittens, snowman, mmm….stuff like that would be fun!
4. Favourite snacks for the family – mmm…we love peanut m&m’s, bbq crispers, nuts, tostitos & salsa/guac/anything Mexican, veggies & dip, gourmet jelly beans, sour candies (peaches/cherry blasters etc)….anything tasty & delish J
5. Tools? Mmmm…I dunno – we’re kinda stocked
6. Favourite Christmas Song – Silver Bells for a song but Christina Aguilera’s Christmas CD is my favourite over all (started listening to it today….DH’s gonna LOSE it!!)
7. Make-up brands: I don’t wear much, but I do do my eyes. Smashbox (my usual), Essie (‘all in one base’ coat or ‘to dry for’ top coat are staples in my house!) or Avon has some good shadows/glimmersticks
Questions for my buddy:
- Do you use and/or want a day planner/2013 agenda/calendar? What kind? (ex/ small pocket/purse one? Slightly larger one with more room for writing? daily desk calendar?)
- Do you like/use nail polish? What kinds of colours?
- If you have kids, are they into arts and crafts?
- What's your favourite magazine (that you DON'T have a subscription to!)
My responses to my questions!

Nope, I never remember to write in them. LMAO!! IS there a planner to remind you to write in your planner?? HA!

Nope. I bite my nails. Disgusting habit that I am trying to break... I quit smoking but can't quit this... sooooo annoying!

Style of home? I have tons of pictures on every wall, I love displaying pictures of my son, its pretty small, so its cluttered unfortunately.

What color is your kitchen?
sage green
What color is your bathroom?
taupe with brown
Do you have a theme in these rooms?
Not really -have a slight farm theme going in the kitchen (roosters), but other than that no
Do you like wall decals? If so, what are you looking for?
I do. I am currently looking for some for the girls room - a saying about being sisters or something about family or something about being confident in who you are.....all important things we are trying to instill in the girls. Also would love the quote in my signature or "Why fit in when you were born to stand out" -Dr Seuss ,again for the girls room.
How would you describe the style of you home?
ummmm.....eclectic.....-we really don't go for one streamlined look -just things we love
We live in a tiny old cottage -all of our walls are taupe (except for the kitchen), covered in pictures of the kids and various art (mainly nature pics/outdoors/abstract), all of our furniture is antique (wood various shades). I love rich warm coloured accessories, with unique textures or features.

What color is your kitchen?
Browns/Beiges
What color is your bathroom?
White(how origianl I know--- BUT)
Do you have a theme in these rooms?
Yes, my kitchen is done in a wine theme... but not the "cartoon type wine things" that are out there and my white bathroom is white because it is either decorated in polka dots or stripes(red, green, blue, brown, yellow) and I love it!
Do you like wall decals? If so, what are you looking for?
I do. I have some wine ones in our kitchen and paris ones in our bedroom(bedroom is done in a Paris theme-but its almost complete) and we have "My favorite place is in your arms" above our headboard. I would LOVE one about a home being filled with love and laughter.
How would you describe the style of you home?
I know I asked this question but I don't think we have a "style". Our house feels lived in and comfy. Is that a style? Oh, wait... "dog fur chic" <-- that is the style of our home

- Do you use and/or want a day planner/2013 agenda/calendar? What kind? (ex/ small pocket/purse one? Slightly larger one with more room for writing? daily desk calendar?) I think i answered this one in a different question. i want a calendar that has lots of room to write in the spaces. i rely on my calendar on the wall!! everything gets written on it from bills, to appts, school reminders, etc!!
- Do you like/use nail polish? What kinds of colours? don't usually wear it. when i have it on, i scratch it off!!
- If you have kids, are they into arts and crafts? Yes my son (7) loves to think up and just do things on his own!!
- What's your favourite magazine (that you DON'T have a subscription to!) Parents Canada, Today's Parent, anything along that lines
What color is your kitchen? we have hickory wood cupboards with black granite counter tops. the walls are painted a very, very light almond/brown
What color is your bathroom? we are gonna be renovating it this winter so not sure what color it will be yet, but right now the walls are a mint green with black, white and pink tiles with a green linoleum floor.....lol (hence why we are renovating)
Do you have a theme in these rooms? NO
Do you like wall decals? If so, what are you looking for? Yes, looking for ones with the sayings.
How would you describe the style of you home? whatever feels good??!! no particular style per say

.
. I don't mind items from there as long as it's not for consumption/anything to do with food and nothing to put on my skin. Every time I've walked into one, I had to leave within a minute because the strong chemically odor of plastic and smelly candles gave me an instant migraine. Is anyone else sensitive to the smell in there or am I just weird like that
