Wow good question! I think you are 100% correct on your answers.
Guilt
Hopelessness
3rd place is breaking up with someone you love and adore with 100% of your heart because you know it is the right thing to do. I would rather be dumped that feel that horrible feeling.

Not being able to find you're child. I think we have all had that moment when you turn around and they are gone. There is that minute of sheer panic that you think you aren't going to find them.

Helplessness for sure is at the top of the list for me. Being faced with a situation I have no control over can leave me feeling utterly paralyzed.
And then, like Patty, disappointment is right up there too. You know that feeling where your heart just drops to the floor? Ugh.~RRLF $0.75 Organic Meadow, $1 Almond Fresh~

gheesh. I am so depressed now. LOL.
I agree with thriftygranny: Not being able to locate your child brings a level of sinking panic that is so horrible it's almost beyond words. I was in a store the other day and a grandma had lost track of her grandchild and the very first time she opened her mouth to call out the child's name there was such panic and fear in her voice that it made my hair stand on end and I immediately dropped what I was doing, went over to the woman and said, "that's the sound of someone who has lost a child. What does she look like so I can help you find her?""Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

I've had the unfortunate experience of meeting 2 mothers at different times in my life, one of which has a daughter missing for years (age 13) and one who's daughter was murdered and the case is unsolved. It is the most profound feeling of helplessness I have seen and probably the #1 worst feeling there is.

i cannot even imagine and don't want to imagine having my child murdered and the killer not being found.honestly i would rather sit there knowing this person is behind bars and cannot harm another again...i also feel for people that have missing loved ones, presumed dead,i would rather know they are dead...you can never really let that go..it's like a part of your soul is torn...ugh...omg i feel for those people....

Helplessness is number one for me. I like to be in control of my life and what happens around me. Sheer panic when I realize that there are some things beyond my control.
