Now that my hair is short regular hair cuts are now something I can't live without! When I had long hair I would let it go a year or more without getting it cut. Now that it is super short a hair cut makes all the difference between my hair looking like crap or looking amazing. I went to the Aveda salon today and had a student do it but it turned out amazing! The instructors were in love with my hair to begin with they were all commenting on how unique the cut was (had it cut for a photo shoot and can't afford the hair guy that did it), so I was nervous that a student wouldn't know how to cut it to keep it unique but the instructor kind of took over with the shaping part so I paid student prices to have an instructor do most of the work!!

Internet service. Only when I can't access it do I realise how much I use it.

AG Fast Food Leave In Hair Conditioner approx $30/L - I have really long curly hair, this stuff really saves my hair from being ripped out by my brush. I only use it on my ends so a litre will last about a year so I guess its not an aweful large investment.

Clean hot and cold running water, and air conditioning...I guess those may seem like basics nowadays. But I sure am delighted to have them and super-cranky when I don't!

Cable and PVR. I know I could save a ton by watching things online, using Netflix, etc; but Canadian Netflix sucks, things don't go up online until a day or two after they air and I just really like being able to sit down and watch something when I want to watch it.
The other one is Ouidad shampoo and Bumble and Bumble curl cream. My hair has never looked better than it does since I started using them. I get them with my sister's Sephora discount so they're not too expensive but still pricey compared to sale+coupon shampoo from Walmart.
