i think i missed everyone..

great friday here so far.. hubby and i went out for breakfast. i have managed to get all of my shopping done but two things. will get them on Monday. then im done. this weekend will b busy baking. preparing goodie baskets. i really wish i'd been done alot early. however without a car. and a bad back. ok no more whining. im just glad its friday.. time to relax.

Good day here today, one kiddo feeling somewhat better, one feeling worse. Both were quiet though Lots of naps, cuddles, Toopy and Binoo.

I just amused myself at a VERY long lineup of people waiting for the LCBO to open so they can buy some expensive Belgian beer that goes for $80 for a 6pk

It's a bl00dy good beer though. I've had it several times. I have some of the 8% kicking around waiting for the right occasion.

Busy weekend for me, I want FINALLY finish up my Christmas shopping... got the kids mostly done so now I can focus on everyone else

Ordered Chinese food for dinner, not really in the mood to cook. I'm going to spend the night cuddling with Hayden and bugging Christian on the phone!!

Yay! I finished the coasters that go with the table-runner I sewed for my sis-in-law!!
The colours don't look at all as vibrant as they do in real life, and that (ugh) minty green
isn't mint at all...it's sage!!
I wish there was more definition between the two lighter yellow/pink fabrics, but it's so
hard to tell what it'll all look like until it comes together....it's for their breakfast-nook table...
for the spring....!
Anyway...thought I'd post my latest creation. Then on to my grandson's earflap hat!

I love green shades but I can only wear sage or mint in most fabrics..emerald as long as it's not a glossy fabric. Greens make me look ill, otherwise.

Thank you, everyone!!! If I didn't rep you, it's because I have to spread the love around...but I sure appreciate your comments...yep, Darth, quilting is fiddly, but it's such a pretty surprise when things are pieced together and you finally get what all that cutting was about, that makes it so worth-while. And really....truth of it is, it's an easy hobby. Like putting together a puzzle, only you have to make all the pieces!

Sheets, stay safe out there....lordy, those drivers yesterday were imbeciles! There were two instances in a parking-lot where I was sure an accident would occur...jeepers...this is the time of year for patience. I just know that whatever I want to do out there will take me 2-3x longer than usual, so I just take a deep breath and watch everyone else driving around like mad-people.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone! I have an early evening home-wedding today, then the rest of the weekend off....to...knit my grandson that ear-flap hat...So what's so retiring about retirement?!
