Tegan & Sara are touring with The Killers and they were supposed to open for them Saturday in Toronto and The Killers frontman got laryngitis ... so they ended up throwing together a last minute headliner and my DH and I went and it was STELLAR!!!!

Mornin' everyone!!

The schools are closed today, so hubby got up early to babysit our grandson, and I'm not off to join them...take the little guy shopping for Christmas gifts for his Mom and Dad, then out to lunch (to "that spicy sauce place"...Swiss Chalet, no doubt, lol) then home for a nice quiet movie. I'll come back home to be with Jenny for a while, perhaps a nice walk in this +2 weather!

I hope everyone has a great week....stays safe and gets ALL their stuff done before Christmas! In....7 days??!!!!!

OOO, so she knows it's coming....

I'd be the same, Dan - not wanting to have a proposal on a holiday or birthday. Some like it, though.

My husband proposed privately - he knew it was the way to do it, because he knew ME.
He had talked to my mom beforehand (which I didn't know til a lot later) .
We had talked about marriage for months; we had known each other a year, then dated a year and a half. But the date he did it was a surprize!

my hubby proposed to me privately too. he's a big showy guy and i did not want a big show bc i was already overwhelmed - what he did though was perfect and adorable for just us

but then on the flipside i have friends whose DHs proposed at the eiffel tower and in their native languages and on stage and all sorts of crazy things!

definitely go with what will make HER happy.

yeah! i wasn't going to The Killers show bc i didn't want to see them open for another band and only do 10 songs in a HUGE arena. I wanted to see them in a small club or mid-sized venue so when I heard The Killers cancelled I KNEW they'd put on a private show bc they were already in town.
it was awesome! tiny place packed to the brim
Their new songs sound fabulous can't wait til they album is released end of January and then they'll no doubt be back again in a larger venue and I'll go again lol
