Yes, I'm so angry I could spit! But she seems to be doing a bit better. She smells much better now, I didn't know that they had that waterless shampoo, and I sure hope she feels some relief from the lotion. I'm afraid to give her the deworming pills. I've been on every website I can think of, and they all say the same thing, don't give them the deworm medicine until they are 6 weeks of age. And since I don't exactly know her real age, because I don't trust that guy we bought her from, I don't want to do damage to her tiny organs or something. I think I will return the meds and wait. I told the lady where I have her appointment that if she gets a cancelation to please call me and I will have her there within half an hour. So in the meantime, it's sleepless nights, and continue to let her steal our hearts away. And oh boy, is my dh smitten. He came to lay down for a nap yesterday afternoon, and when I came up to change over my laundry, there she was, snuggled up by his ear, fast asleep.....OMG, what a pair

What's everyone's plans for today? I'm going to leave tiny Maggie with Marley, and dh and I are going to go to the gym today. I didn't go with him yesterday because I was so worried about Maggie, but my body feels it today, so I have to trust the my Marley will look after her just as any mommy dog would. I'll give an update when I get back, and hope like heck that the rv doesn't look like this when we get back
We will make our workout shorter today so we should only be gone about an hour and a half or so.

But I always find it so odd, here my son's elementary school went to gr. 8 where there was the ban, but magically when he went to high school for gr. 9, no ban. No magic happens between gr. 8 and 9, lol!
The seeds ban was included at his school because of one of the teachers had an allergy.

I don't think the peanut butter ban was in effect when I was going to school. I understand why it's in place but banning Wow butter and other forms of nut butter is not fair, in my opinion.

I agree. Banning non nut spreads doesn't seem right. You can tell the difference, or at least I can. The wowbutter has a bit of black dots in it. Not sure if I'm explaining it right.
I do understand the point of older kids making their own lunches and just doing PB, but shouldn't parents be paying attention??? I guess the boards think by high school anyone with allergies know to stay clear?
I actually really like the wow butter. I can't taste too much of a difference and it only uses 2 WW points instead of 3 that PB does. lol. Every point counts! hahahah

sheets, it was the first link I found, that's why I used it because it had an explanation. I'm sure there are others.
Well, it's dull out, and started to snow. Vader the kitty is trying to catch the snowflakes as they come near the picture window she is stretched up to - every once in a while I hear a light 'thonk, thonk...' as she hits the window with her paw. She has the biggest eyes ever when she's so excited!

This is what we used - looks exactly like PB.
Better than using a soy-based product, because that can mess with kids' hormones.

I also think that children with peanut allergies should be better educated and be taught the proper precautions. I'm not expecting kindergarten children to know not to share lunches but older children should.
I'm lucky that DS#2 isn't a picky eater but DS#1 has a very limited number of foods that he likes, peanut butter being one of them, and packing his lunches was a pain in the butt. Now that he's older he does like a few more things but he's still picky lol. He would come home many days with not a thing touched in his lunch box

Natalka, your link made me look up WOW butter. http://www.wowbutter.com/
It says: "Your school cannot stop you from sending WOWBUTTER, nor should they. It provides a healthy and nutritious peanut free and nut-free lunch solution for your child while protecting those children with a peanut or nut allergy. "
I wonder what that means?
Anyway, I'm just glad our school allows it. Even the teacher asked me where I bought it because she wants to try some for her kids, they love PB too. lol
DD doesn't like crusts (big surprise) so I got a star shaped cutter and she loves it! I'm now on the hunt for a heart one for Valentine's Day!
