Okay. Having just found this thread, I have a rant!
So I'm in the shower, without my glasses, and I'll be darned if I can read the words "shampoo" or "conditioner" on the labels of those containers!! WHY can't they make those words larger or at least make the bottles different enough so that those of us who can't read without glasses can see what the heck we're picking up?!! I've been reduced to using a sharpie and putting big a "C" and an "S" on them! Stupid companies.
I think I'll email a few.....I mean...it can't just be me! Can it??This thread is currently associated with: N/A

A lot of times shampoo will have the lid on the top and conditioner will be on the bottom. Another suggestion would be to put an elastic band around one or the other so you can differential between the two.

See? And how am I to remember which one is the down-side-up one or the upside-down one?!!
Taking a shower should be this difficult.

Both great ideas, but honestly...there's room on there for larger print. I'm not even "that" old and I'm having problems..what do really old people do?! I really am going to write them all nice emails and make that suggestion...maybe even score a few coupons like a good SCer!

I decided to go through my various little sample sizes of shampoo and conditioner awhile ago, for about a week I used shampoo twice and no conditioner because I didn't read close enough when I grabbed it from my stockpile. xD

The same thing has happened to me on more than a few occasions. I have resorted to either staring at the bottle in order to read the small print, or using 2 different brands that way I KNOW which one is the shampoo and which is the conditioner.

Shampoo always is lid side up, as others said.
I've heard of using the elastic on the shampoo, too.
I don't use conditioner, problem solved.

I leave my contacts in when I shower cause I have definitely done that before! Used conditioner instead of shampoo then realized it and had to start over!

I always assumed that the conditioner cap was on the bottom because it is usually really thick so putting it that way makes it easier to get out.
A long the same lines, DH is pretty much blind without his glasses on (his prescription is in the -11/-12 range), so even finding a bottle in the shower is difficult for him because most bottles are white/light and so is the shower, and on top of that, the shampoo is clear. We got a sample of Dove+Men and he loves it because the bottle is dark gray (easy to find) and the shampoo is bright blue so he can see how much he is putting onto his hand.
