It hasn't gotten as warm as predicted, but yesterday was a nicer day than in a while...

Today it's -15, windchill -25.
Only going up by a few degrees today.

It's going to be another scorcher today. It's already 78 and it's only 9 am I'm thinking it's going to be another pool day. I'm happy there is no gym today They are calling for 90 today, with the chan ce of a thunder shower or five. I hope that happens, it will really cool things down somewhat, even if it's only for a few hours.

Clear the snow off your car BEFORE you drive it!

February 6, 2013 — The Barrie Police were recently called to a local coffee shop regarding an incident of drive-thru rage.

A 54 year-old Barrie, Ontario woman recently found herself in hot water after holding up traffic at a local drive-thru when she exited her vehicle and began clearing snow off her car.
When the male driver behind her complained, she got back into her car and reversed her vehicle into his, the Barrie Police reported today.
The assault caused damage to both vehicles.
The Barrie Police-Traffic Unit charged the woman with Uttering Threats To Cause Property Damage, Dangerous Driving and Mischief Under $5000 under the Criminal Code of Canada.
The female has been released from prison and scheduled to appear in Barrie Court.

Environment Canada upgrades Toronto’s winter storm watch to snowfall warning

TORONTO, Ont. – Environment Canada has upgraded a winter storm watch to a snowfall warning for Toronto.
Much of southern and eastern Ontario is bracing for a winter storm Thursday, with at least 15 centimetres expected by Friday, according to Environment Canada.
The agency upgraded the the winter storm watch to a winter storm warning for Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville.
According to the agency, many parts of southern and eastern Ontario may receive 15 centimetres of snow by Friday evening. Some areas may receive as much as 25 centimetres of snow, the agency said.
Easterly winds may also result in blowing snow in many areas Thursday night and Friday, the agency said.
The weather agency is warning of a messy commute Thursday night through Friday morning.
“There may be a significant impact on the commute to work on Friday morning and possibly Friday afternoon in heavy snow and blowing snow,” the agency said in a statement.

I just realized this new White Juan-esque storm coming tomorrow and Saturday is going to prevent me from getting across town for my two free boxes of Special K Cracker chips. I am sad. Also, my brother-in-law is supposed to be flying in tomorrow night from out West, and my father-in-law will be going to the airport two hours away to pick him up. I am worried! I hope the snow holds off until after that.
