I love it!
My friend Sue got tired of telemarketers, so one day, she started grilling the poor fellow about where that deadbeat Sue who owed her months of back rent was, and if the telemarketer knew and didn't tell her right then and there she would be sending the police out after them. Guess the word got out, because no one called her for over a year.
Another time, she was getting tired of her alumni association calling begging for money. She finally had enough one day and told the caller to be ashamed of himself, interrupting people on the day of Sue's funeral. Yep, you guessed it, in the next alumni newsletter, she was listed as deceased. She never did correct their error, she was happy for the peace and quiet.

You can roast them in the oven, but you can also use a frying pan with a bit of butter and lots of salt. heat on medium and constant stirring.
If you have 4-legged critters in the house, you can make pumpkin dog/cat biscuits. After Halloween, cut up the Jack-o-lantern, removing the bits that have dried out. Then put the pieces on a baking sheet and broil for 30 minutes at 350F. Puree and mix with a bit of water to dilute, then add enough flour to make a pliable dough. Roll out, cut out shapes, bake at 350F for 30 minutes for chewy cookies, 250F for an hour or so for crunchy cookies. Easy, cheap and I've yet to meet a dog that doesn't like them. Hey, even my cat eats them, but he's weird.

Love the telemarker turnoff, I'll try that one next time. I usually just as them to hold for a sec (they usually say yea) and I put the phone under a pillow and go do laudry or something! Works every time!
