Facebook is terrible for drama. I hardly ever put a status up..but other people don't mind putting things about me on theirs! o.O It was all over FB that I had DS the day he was born before I even had a chance to tell a lot of people or announce it myself. I understand that it's a great way to communicate, especially with those that you don't speak to often but it definately has a lot of drawbacks.

Morning all! I was going to post answers to missed questions last night after I took out the garbage etc, but I got sidetracked and then fell asleep! (beware, long post lol)

I came in from putting out garbage etc, and DH says "your mom called" I asked if he talked to her (sometimes we just let the machine get it when the other's parents call...not cause we don't like them, just something we have always done) He says "yep, she said call her back, she got a box"

She loved all of it! She is in the process of taking pictures of all of her goodies (minus a Fudgeo or three) and sending it to me so I can post for her! Her birthday is on the 19th, so this was a great early birthday gift!! She had a bit of a crummy bday lunch with us kids (BIL was being a bit of a party pooper) so this brightened her week for sure! She is off to a singing competition this weekend, so this amazing package was great to turn her week around!

At first she thought the package was for my sister who sometimes uses mom's address to get things sent to since she is home all day, then she looked at the label and realized it was something for her! My nephew John and my mom had a great time opening it!

Some of the things I remember her telling me were in the package (which she commented was in a BIG box lol)

Fudgeo cookies (her fav)
tea
bath stuff
quilter's magazine (with bonus DVD) <---she repeated that one about 4 times so I think she is thrilled!
books
blocks for my nephew who she babysits

I'm sure there is a tonne more, but that's all I can remember for now, she is sending pics hopefully tonight before she leaves for the US.

I signed my mom up without really telling her what the train was about lol I have been on package trains and told her about them so since this one fell right around her birthday and close to Mother's day I thought this was a perfect gift for her! She struggled making the lists (probably because I didn't tell her what it was for!)

Now I have to get my butt in gear and finish my packages and get them mailed! Can't wait to see my buddy's reactions...oh and of course get my package!

oh boy. talk about drama. I'm sorry you are going through this coyote but I know it will work out. and a cute little grandbaby will be there soon to make things better too. =) babies draw people together in my experience.

everyone is talking about mailing today or tomorrow or has already mailed.

Buddy - you will likely be the last person to get your package. I am mailing on the final day - MONDAY!! haha.

Sorry, but I want to spend the weekend putting on finishing touches and really filling up the box to the brim and if I have time, even write a card...haha.

so be patient, it will be worth the wait, but just a heads up that I am sending mine on the actual mail date so I can spoil you more....you'd rather that anyway right? =)

Had a good afternoon yesterday. Mom came over and we cleaned up the gardens in my backyard. So many leaves, we added to the ones my bf and I had done--26 extra large bags to go out tomorrow!!!! OMG and still another 30 to go easy, previous tennant just raked the leaves in piles under two huge pine trees and did not bag them--guess they knew they were moving so didn't bother bagging them. That will be this weekends project if the weather is good.
Beautiful out yesterday, so glad we got it done as I woke up to Lily shaking sitting on my head and Sidney beside me head on my chest--Thunder Storm. Poor Lily was shaking like a leaf. So loud the windows were shaking. All cleared up now and sun is trying to come out.

I agree about the whole facebook thing and younger people. The things they post on there blow my mind. I am friends with my friends daughter, she has blocked her parents!!! So if I see something I don't like I fire a text off to my friend.

I just sent er a message letting her know no matter wat was going on I still wanted to be a part of her and baby's life. Thennnnn my son logs on and says oh we are sorta back together. So I told him I sent her a message and he is now upset and won't talk to me.


DRAMA is not something I am fond of or good at. I think I shall go sit in the corner w/my friends and cleat my mind. WTH do people feel that publicaly announcing such private matters via facebook is ok??? This is why I rarely go on facebook LOL

I hear you. I'm sorry things aren't working out between your son and his girlfriend? wife? not sure the relationship! But either way, I hope they can find someway of making it work for baby. At least you're willing to step in!

We had a good thunderstorm here last night too! We usually keep the dog out of the bedroom but she came in last night and slept right beside me on the floor. The house shook a few times from the thunder. I am glad DS didn't wake up from it though - don't know how he didn't, it kept me from sleeping for a bit.

So, buddy, I am so sorry, but all my plans for getting out and picking up the last few things on my list for your train has been postponed due to illness. My poor JuJu is sick and sad and miserable and I don't have the heart to drag him to the mall, LOL. So we're cuddled up on the couch watching Thomas and friends and I am relaxing in my pjs drinking vanilla earl grey tea. I will be staying in until it's time to pick up DD from school.
