Hi all!

It seems like forever since I've popped in!

Been a busy week: DS's birthday, DS's first haircut, swimming, birthday party, Mothers day, hotel excursion, sick kids, sick mom, and the list goes on. lol

DH left a few hours ago so it's back to the same old routine. Saying "I'm sick of this Sh!t" would be an understatement. I want him back home for good! Not just 5 days every few weeks.

Tomorrow is a school trip - I'm hopeful DD will be up for it. She was sent home sick today, even though we were at the doctor's last night and they said she's 100% fine now (was just a run of the mill cold/flu).

I need to remember to write up a review for hotels.com tonight.

I've never booked anything through them but DH used them for our Mothers Day excursion.

We got to our hotel and I waited in the car (parked was $14 for underground so I waited in front of the hotel to be sure that's where we parked). DH walked out and I knew he was upset.

Turns out their pool and hottub were closed! The main reason for our night away! I was livid! So in I went. lol.

The front desk didn't want to deal with me so I kept escalating the issue. They gave me a phone to talk to hotels.com and the guy was AMAZING!!!

He verified that the pool was closed and said the hotel didn't inform them. He got us a new room in a hotel 2 blocks away and upgraded us and gave us a free room service credit and free breakfast at the hotel's restuarant PLUS he credited $25 back to our credit card and sent us a $100 voucher for our next booking through hotels.com (has to be within 12 months and room has to be over $100).

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

Here's a pic of the beautiful flowers DH got me - too bad they have to sit on my patio table because of my allergies (he always forgets). Same flowers as our wedding. Simply beautiful!

Ditto on Hotels.com...we've booked many trips through them and always had stellar results and great service.

As for Stargazers...my favourite flower; I have them blooming in the front of our home in August and with the window open, their scent just wafts into the house!!

Training went really well the other night, I get along really well with the man I'll be taking care of. I've put an ad on some local Facebook groups looking for private clients so hopefully I can find some more work!

Now the bad news lol... first day of driving my car and something smashed my passenger side mirror It looks like a rock or something hit it. Grrrrrrrrr...
