oh my stars, its only day 1 of summer vacay and my kids are already at each others throats. luckily we're leaving tomorrow to go to north bay to the in-laws for a few days. gonna go strawberry picking, go on the chief commanda boat cruise, fireworks. should be fun! have a great long weekend everyone

today is dd's 2nd bday - due to $$ reasons, its just gonna be the 4 of us - no big party

my house is so quiet right now - all my housework has been done - i've been so bored!

Good morning my dear friends. Once again I did the vanishing act....but this time it was only because I was overwhelmed with the chores I needed to do by today. As you all know Alberta has been and still is in some areas a disaster zone. I spent 6 hours (unfortunately that's all my body would allow), feeding, walking and bathing all types of dogs and cats. I also checked the campground we were to attend for July only to find their site said they would be closed until mid July cleanup after the flooding! Soooo, a lot of time was spent trying to find an alternative site for 2 weeks with m grandson.

Then....the rec center called (this is where my grandsons b-day swimming party was suppose to be today) and they informed us that they were using the facility as an evacuation center for the people from High River whom have not been aloud to return home thus far. Sooo, I spent a lot of time trying to find an alternative to that, again it was useless as everything was booked or damaged due to flooding. So, we are having a regular party at my daughter Lisa's home.

Today, I still have to ice 50 cupcakes and decorate them, decorate his birthday cake, which I baked yesterday, shower, get ready, get Ryder ready (he wanted to spend yesterday, through till the end of July with me), take Marley for a walk and get to my daughters before 10:30 with the decorations so the girls can decorate the house......I'M TIRED JUST THINKING ABOUT IT ALL

So my dear friends, I'll return hopefully tomorrow...if I survive this party, Enjoy your Saturday the long weekend everyone.


PS..............got a call late yesterday afternoon, all of us that had a reservation longer than 10 days, have been moved to the older side of the park, the part that didn't flood (that's the side I wanted to be on because of the huge trees and its close to the park and pool) so I'm able to enjoy my July just as planned A lot of time wasted but I'm happy things will turn out great now!

Sorry for being so long winded, but that's how my past several days have been

quiet weekend here, nothing planned. were supposed to paint the kitchen, however after having a horrific sneezing attack for hours on end at work my dh is now in pain from all the muscles that were put to work during those sneezing fits.. poor guy.. maybe by the end of the week..

for now i'll try to clean out the kitchen to prep for it. catch up on my laundry and meal prep for the week. maybe even 'steal' his car today and get some 'real' grocery shopping done. shopping with a grocery push cart doesn't do much for a family of 4.

still have a few last ideas to take care of before next weekends festivities, im just really prayin the weather holds up for me.
