Dh and I both are lobster fan. Dh told me last week that eating some lobster will be nice. I said to him that the lobster season was over and that the price are really high right now so it won't be possible.
Saturday, I went to Metro and found storemade of frozen bag of lobster meat in sale at 5.99$ for 1 kg (2 lbs)!!! I couldn't believe it! I knew that lobster will be in our close futur!
Today, I went to Maxi to get vol-au-vent pastry (shell pastry?). There price was 3$ for a box of 6 - 50%. Yes! So here's how I made the supper:
Main:
2 Knorr King sauce: 0.25$ x 2
2 cup of water: free
2 cup of milk: 0.25$ ?
1 green onion: 0.05$ ? (0.33$ a bunch of 5-6)
2 celery branches: 0.10$ ? (0.99$ the whole thing)
1/3 of the lobster bag: 2$
6 shell pastry: 1.50$
Side:
2 cucumber: 0.66$
1 baguette: 0.89$
1 Coke 2L: 0.99$ (+ tx & deposit)
Total: 7.13$ for 2 supper and 2 lunches.
Less than 2$ per portion! Bon appétit!Last edited by abouret; Mon, Aug 5th, 2013 at 07:10 PM.
