Yes Patty, 3D is always more money. I opt for regular view unless I really think the 3D will make a world of difference.
Now what we do to get around that is redeem our Scene points online for a free movie ( if we have enough points at the time ) and we just select the 3D version of the flick. So no extra charge, free is free.
We also go to the bigger Theatre when we do that because their 3D prices are crazy high, their seats are bigger, plusher, screens bigger, and it still is allowed to use there. ( our cheaper smaller Theatre closer to home where we view most movies runs us $7.99 adult, and their 3D is around $11.00 )

oh yes, I came in here to rate Old Boy, with Josh Brolin ( drool! you will see some nudity!! ) It is the kind of flick you really cringe at though, well I did. I rate it 8/ 10
Samuel L. Jackson has a great role in it. And watch for Shartlo Copley!! Wow HE is something in it! ( he was the sad chap in District 9 that turned into one of the aliens, starting with his arm changing) Oh and he was in Maleficent too! This role is VERY different though.
I just found out this was a remake from a movie with the same name made in 2003.

Sargeant York - Gary Cooper (1941) - 8/10 - great classic film about a Tennessee Hillbilly who gets drafted into WWI and wins the Congressional Medal of Honor.
Alvin Cullum York (December 13, 1887 – September 2, 1964), known also by his rank, Sergeant York, was one of the most decorated American soldiers in World War I.[1] He received the Medal of Honor for leading an attack on a German machine gun nest, taking 32 machine guns, killing 28 German soldiers, and capturing 132 others. This action occurred during the United States-led portion of the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in France, which was part of a broader Allied offensive masterminded by Marshal Ferdinand Foch to breach the Hindenburg line and make the opposing German forces surrender.I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Went to see Dawn Of The Planet of The Apes on Sunday with the whole family. I rate it 8/10
Nice to see it in 3D using 2 BOGO coupons from the Cheerios boxes, plus using 1 free Scene points admit. It was so obviously made to have a sequel ( sometimes that annoys me ) but the fact that Andy Serkis was brilliant again as Caesar
( his voice too!) and the bad ape ( Koba ) was an engaging character. There were some comedic moments which were not so good for the humans, lol.

Sex Tape - 7/10 (some really funny parts but other time a bit too cheesy)
22 Jump street - 7/10 (Much like the first one, they did poke fun at sequels which was entertaining. Some really funny parts but also some awkward parts).

In this time of computer-game-movies and so look-alike ones I didn't see any good movie for a long time.
But I really liked Water for Elephants, though, I believe, that was produced in 2011. Since maybe only Woody Allen's movies worth watching (Blue Jasmine, e.g.).
P.S. Such a pity that one of my favourite actors - Christopher Waltz, played in such a shameful, the worst ever remake of Three Musketeers with Mila Jovovich.Last edited by Mia; Wed, Jul 23rd, 2014 at 01:44 PM.

Transformers: Age Of Extinction 7/10
I hadn't seen the previous 3 before but my friend wanted to see this one so I had to binge watch the first three and this one is my fav or second fav. Pretty good film but kind of long. Especially since we were stuck in the newer theatre with the more cramped seats!
