I saw somewhere, can't remember, that some of the pictures circulating of dead kids bodies are actually from the Syrian conflict which is a whole other outrage.

A lot of fake images going around.

Here is one example as pointed out by David Draiman ( lead singer from the band, Disturbed)
Also images from Iraq are being used.http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-...stRecentReview

You know, I don't care who started it. Right now it just tit-for-tat and it has to stop.

Only a successful negotiation will solve this; a cease-fire will only serve to delay the next exchange of dead bodies.

No, Israel has barracks, military airfields, military bases.
Now imagine a strip of land 25 miles long, and only between 3-5 miles across, home to over 2 million people, living under a blockade, subject to the "benevolence" of Israel for their sustenance.
Then imagine where in their small patch of land Hamas can possibly store their munitions. They live at home, not modern barracks.
Food and water are running out, people are gathering at places that they hope are safe, but even open air markets are being shelled.
And it's not like Israel is innocent regarding the use of civilians (article below).
Like I said before: there are NO heroes in this conflict...it's war and war is ugly and neither side is willing to give an inch. Particularly ugly with the imbalance of military force in this case. Until negotiations settle this, nothing will change.
