An Apology and some Insight **PLEASE READ**

Firstly, let me provide some insight to the rationale behind this thread. Without getting into specifics, i’m here to stand up for myself and other members.

I would like to take this opportunity to issue a formal and sincere apology to everyone on SC. To be completely honest, I’m not sure why I am actually sorry, but am hoping that you can enlighten me. If I have done things that offend or made connects that have appeared to be rude, please let me know. If you feel more comfortable private messaging me, please do so. Just so you know, anything that i may of said, was not in a malicious manner. I honestly feel as if I haven’t done anything that would be considered offensive or have broken any rules of the forum.

I do realize that in the past, Stifler has disagreements/battles with some members. Stifler was in the wrong and learned his lesson. The other members were just as guilty as I, but I took the blame. I am a ‘New Stifler’. I do realize that this stigma will never be lifted to certain members, although, hopefully in time, they will see me as different person. (Provide I’m not on their ignore list) I have only good intention for the site and am acting as a good citizen. I do not believe that I have personally attacked anyone or been rude to anyone. I am making a conscious effort to follow the forum rules. I am human…just as we all are. I’m sure we have all been on the borderline with some of our posts, but I have not intentionally posted anything that would offend or in bad taste. As you know, I am a man and my sensitively may not be on the same level as others. Sometimes we view things in a different light than women. I am hoping that I have gained the trust of a members and am not anyone’s enemy.

Over the past few weeks I have actually made some connections with some members. As Saveadollardiva can attest to, I have inquired with her on the methods to become friends with people on the site. I think I’ve done a fairly reasonable job in becoming ‘friends’ with members and also having one ‘secret friend’. (haha)

This issue as of late has truly affected me on an emotional level. I was literally up for 2 hours last night thinking about this. When I make a mistake, I am man enough to admit my mistakes. One blessing that has happened this week was there was a member that I thought truly disliked me. Admittedly, this person and I differ on a personality level, but this person was kind enough to offer a sincere message to me. I was extremely grateful and it kind of restored my faith in humanity.

Another issue that has weighed heavily on my shoulders is ‘Stifler’. Please fully understand that my attitude, actions and persona is simply a character. In all honestly, the person behind the screen does not resemble the movie ‘Stifler’ at all. I am actually a quiet, shy, introvert person. I do not like to be the centre of attention and am more than comfortable to just ‘blend in’.
I like to provide comic relief on this site as I feel that it can become stale at times. It also allows me to get our of my comfort zone and interact on a different level socially.

Lastly, please inform me on anything that I may or may not have done that you do not approve. I have thick skin and would value the criticism that will help me become a better person on here. Or if you appreciate the things that I have done, please mention that as well. Either via PM or on this thread.

I have probably come to this whole thing late in the game, so I don't have any preconceived notions about who you are or what anyone else's perceptions have been, so I'm okay with you being here, lol...so far...

But always referring to yourself in the third person can be irritating...seems a little pompous....if "Stifler" is you, then embrace him and admit to owning him...but if you're hiding behind him, then just dump him and be the real you. The real you seems a lot nicer....

I've always found that the best way to do this is to simply do this quietly. If you feel the need to grand-stand, there are threads on this forum geared towards that (check out the Games Room, where ribald humour and raunchy pix are a bit more welcome).

The other day, an SCer posted about an incident where B was the only one willing to do something to help, while half a dozen folks were filming the event. Thankfully, no one was hurt. But I wonder how many of these individuals would boast about helping/defending/doing something while in reality they would simply stand around and watch/film the event?

If you have offended someone, then the best course of action would be to apologize to that individual and curb your actions so it doesn't happen again, rather than offering a half-hearted blanket apology that's more likely to offend than mollify.

Sorry if I offend, but to me, this referring to oneself in the third person, screams of immaturity and insecurity, tinged with arrogance. There is a certain well-known politician who does this constantly and it's irritating enough that I will not only vote for anyone but this dolt, but do my utmost to convince everyone I know to not vote for him.

I'm sorry to hear you are so upset by something that's happened (again, I have no idea what the story behind this is). Hopefully, this has shown you where the boundaries are for certain individuals, and you don't cross those lines with those folks. For civility's sake.

Maybe you'd be better off being yourself? If you want to use a character as a crutch of sorts, I do understand. But remember that real people have a lot more depth than 2 dimensional characters.

I don't hang around here too much and when I am here I stick to a few threads that are already up (breaking my rule now!) so I've probably missed whatever you're talking about. However, you obviously feel guilty about something to come here and unload as you have so hopefully whoever it is that you've offended will reach out to you and ease your conscience and you'll get the answers you're looking for from the others that post here. Why do you feel the need to hide behind "stifler" character? Why don't you be just YOU? Why is it that this "stifler" made mistakes and this character is apologizing?

It's very easy to be yourself. It's almost impossible to be someone else, let alone a character. People are born but characters are written/made, and i am pretty sure you were BORN!

Well, I too dont know what happen. From reading your post, you obviously feel guilty about something to come here and share like this.

You know what you did or said to some members and dip down you also know that it is not right. Also you we are on a site like this one, you have to be professionnal. If you were to say something to someone, you have to still say it in a apropriate manner.

You sound like a good men and I sure hope that you will be forgiven and LEARN from this. One thing that I learn at a very young age is : If you dont have nothing good to say DONT say it.

One more thing Stifler. Be real Be yourself.
