@bobbiegirl2010 as they say "can't live with them can't live without them" , my dh drives me insane by not being able to or WANTING to do anything alone....grr....if he is doing something outside I must just be around otherwise he doesn't do it....it drives me insane as I'm totally independent, good grief can you image me asking him to watch me make meals - it would be a complete snore fess for him and same goes for me.

Perhaps make him a label for his credit cards that says "gas only" and everything else, just a thought. bless his heart atleast he will go to the store by himself unlike mine
2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

    @sweet sparrow

6-7 diapers a day is being generous for a 2 year old.
1 for wake up, 1 mid-morning, 1 lunch, 1 after nap, 1 after dinner/bed (gives you an extra one or two if needed for those moments!)

I think the regular-sized boxed diapers are meant to last a week. Hope my thinking helps yours. It is by no means correct, but how I would logic through.

@jasperandchar I think that's what it is that he doesn't like going anywhere without me so if he goes somewhere by himself he likes to call and discuss everything with me. I guess if he knows he can call me then he doesn't feel "alone" lol. He just doesn't understand that I like to have quiet alone time and don't want to be called 5 times while I am cooking or reading lol.

@Sweetsparrow I agree with Granger that 6 - 7 diapers per day for a toddler. I find for a typical daycare day the toddlers that I have watched I change them between 3 - 5 times per day. Disposible diapers are more aborbent then cloth so I find they don't need to be changed as often.

Well a horseshoe landed in my hand in WM today. I rarely brag, but this one was too good not to...

Ewwww. Our conversation ended quickly while the area got disinfected. Before the line disconnected, I did hear the young lady screaming at D - guess she was unhappy to share her, ahem, snack.

I'm very happy that I ended up with Quincy cat, the coward of all kitties. Except for flies. He is the king of killers when it comes to the dispatching of fruit flies!

Then there's Lily dog, who runs and hides at the sight of mousies. Or flies. Good thing we've got the boy to take care of us.

Not sure what the day will bring. Besides cuddling the critters. And naps.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Oh Andi! Our poodle is afraid of flies, too. I swear it's learned behaviour because he stayed with SIL once who also had a poodle who wouldn't settle down until flies were killed and SHOWN to him! I told them to just buy a plastic fly to show him!!!! HA! HA! until OUR PUPPY started to be afraid of flies too!

COLD today. Yesterday was very stressful! Started out very nicely - both dh and I went to help count money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation from their "Jump Rope for Heart" campaign in schools. As we were packing up we got a call from mil's nursing home about an "incident" that had happened which was quite upsetting. Then I had to run off for a meeting in another town with a couple that I will marry at the end of the month. (nice but more sitting which was beginning to make my back and issue) then off to have a Heart to Heart with a friend who has made a "connection" online with a very mysterious US military guy who is supposedly overseas but coming "home." I think it just sounds very fishy and needed to chat with her to offer some ideas that she might consider checking out. (Don't want to see her get "scammed" and hurt - she's been through too much with her ex and her very needy children.) Then drive home - back getting WORSE. Headed to bed covered in Voltaren and with "Muscle and Back" reliever.
DH is wrestling with our BBQ trying to replace burners which can only be replaced by people with much smaller fingers than him (or most men, I would guess!) So I was trying to fit underneath the darned thing to see how it all fit together. Can't get my head far enough away from it so my eyes will focus without banging said head on the wall of the bbq - did wonders for my back!!!

FROST warning for tonight! Procrastination about planting annuals really DOES pay off!

I haven't been able to catch up with y'all and your posts! I'll keep trying! Hope you're all well!

(The only reason we have a Petro credit card is to save 2 cents off per litre at the only gas station in town - otherwise there's no other reason to use it.)
My DH can't make heads or tails of his two credit cards. We have one for gas and groceries, and the other for everything else. The weird thing is, he swears that the gas/groceries card always asks for a pin and it's been rejected many times. I take it to the stores, use it in quite a few places, and it never asks me for a pin. Luckily, long ago, I linked it to his Esso Speedpass so he never takes it out. Any other gas station and we get no rewards. Many, many years of lost rewards.

Great deal!! For a second, I thought you were talking about real horseshoes being launched at WM.

Thanks for everyone who responded about the diapers. I think LO is prone to rashes coming home from daycare so we do change her a little more often during the week. I don't know what it is, but she wears diapers at home and gets no rashes. The same diapers go to daycare and she's often red or has open blisters. I have a suspicion that they don't clean her properly.

    Good Morning All,
Oh what a week, I was so looking forward to just being home this week thought I might actually find some free time, what was I thinking. Tuesday I had to leave work to go to the doc for my normal 3 month appointment, okay that is fine a little behind so took some work home with me. Yesterday I attended out managers meeting to go over some new procedures that need to be enforced within the branches and stayed for the remainder of the meeting as after the meeting there was a second meeting for one of my customer's account. That did not end until almost 4 and then our controller says he wants to speak with me at the office, okay fine. Did not leave work until 5 and was so far behind. Get home and Mom who has been off all day has nothing planned for diner and when I say I have no clue what I want just food as I have a lot to get done she gets completely pissed at me. Then my laptop decides not to work, I had changed my password which we are required to do for work every so many days but my laptop would not accept my old or new password. So here I sit with a massive stack of papers needing my attention and I am completely stuck. Finally have dinner at almost 7 pm. Now today back in the office but step our for leadership coaching this afternoon. Totally feel like I will never be caught up again.

As well last night Mom throw a monkey wrench in for this weekend. I am working this weekend so I asked her what she wanted to do and she said to clean the basement (I think I may have heard angels sing), okay I am all for it. Now last night she ask me what I want to do and I point out I thought we already decided, now I am getting the I want to go out and do something tone. Finally a week where we may come in budget, no eating out this is good and now the mood comes. Feeling like I cannot win here she told me what she wanted to do I agreed and now she wants to go out but going out cost money, I just told her we don't need any groceries so what are we going to do that costs no money. There is no extra in the budget as I just got ANOTHER surprise bill from Revenue Canada this is like I do not even know I have lost count all due to re assessing me for 3 years over something I do not even understand. Some days the joy of working for your family feels like the government will not leave you alone and is out to prove you are doing something wrong when we are not.

Well time to get back to work and see what I can get done today. Mom is working tonight so will probably work all night to try to get caught up and see if maybe Sunday or Monday can be work free days since I am working Saturday.

We are getting so close to Friday Can't wait for the long weekend Had a $3 pick up yesterday and dropped off and collected $6 this morning on my way to work So Adding $9 to my new relish jar lol. Think this jar is for covering my admission cost to my son's hockey games (and for the odd fries and slushie for DS for a treat)

@SassyAshley - sorry to hear what you're going through at the moment. Maybe you and your mom can just go to a park this weekend and have a picnic. That won't cost any money. (sorry, just a suggestion). Hope your day gets better.
@Frugalbigmama - way to go on the $9
