OMG, vw_girl! It's SO HOT in Phoenix! I was there once and thought I was dying! Dry heat? NO WAY! Have a great time! I LOVED Sedona, though - hence my avatar.
I don't understand your "bidding wars sales." Can you expand on this? I have to get on the stick with selling things - for sure!

We were cleaning up some "stuff" at my Bro #1's apartment today. I came across a box of "COINS" as it was labelled that my dad had saved from trips my parents had been on. It was made of wood so I think he made it - he was a carpenter and then a wood-shop teacher - he used to make me "pencil boxes" for school. It brought a little "sniff." It's amazing how much my Bro#2 now looks like my dad since he is older. I hear my dad's voice all around me. A day doesn't go by that I don't start a sentence with, "As my dad would say....." It's his birthday coming up next week - he would have been 88. He's been gone since 1999. If you smoke, friends - TRY to give it up! It took my dad away.
Maybe there's more than memories in that box.

Thank you avoncalling I know already I am gonna melt! I heard the temps last week before the trip was a sure thing and it was 50!! But its for work so I didn't pick the location, however I am making THE MOST of it and have at least one day trip to Sedona planned That is exactly what I am looking forward to (and Target ) going to do an 8 hour self guided 4x4 wheel buggy tour that includes birdseye views, 45 degree inclines, swimming holes, hidden caves etc I can't wait!

Bidding wars is a general term now I guess, but basically a facebook group where your wall post acts as a 24hr auction and people bid by making an offer i the comments section. Find one local to you, join and read up on their specific rules. I definitely find its a great place to get a bargain, its definitely a buyers market. But its great for a seller that is trying to purge stuff that would get carted off to the thrift store or whatever. Sometimes its surprising what gets a lot of attention and bids. I sold a pair of fake suede boots that I found on the side of the road for $25 last week! LOL

Let's make a deal. If you quit and are smoke-free at Christmas, Santa may just bring you a surprise! You go girl! I think for every cigarette you don't smoke, you live an extra 36 minutes. And think of the savings! 4 months X whatever it costs for cigarettes for a month, boy you could buy yourself a VERY nice gift. I will be rooting for you!
