I just thought of an upside to a Liberal majority if those numbers hold. I'll get to complain for the next 4 years about how 61% of the electorate DID NOT vote for the government! Rant, rant...

Lol...I do hope there's a good turnout today: as the saying goes..."if you don't vote, you have no right to complain about the government you get"... It'll be interesting!

in our county, we have another party....ex from the bloc....so, this will probably separate the bloc vote between the 2 and then allow someone else to pass....may be the liberal ???

I don't know about voter intimidation, but many of them definitely do not seem to know the rules surrounding ID needed

Ok so I am going to make my prediction based on what I am hearing in Quebec.

Liberal slim majority. Red wave in Quebec even in the regions.

It was a silly rule, especially with social media now.
Even years before technology - people phoned their family members to get updates.

Another good thing, thanks to the Harper government!

In many countries, they don't start counting votes anywhere until the last polling centre closes

^ Yes, and sometimes they have to wait days, even weeks, to find out the results.

Egypt is in its second day of voting, because not enough people are coming out to vote.

I would love to see voter turnout in our election to get to at least 70%.

The highest voter turnouts were in 1958, 1962, and 1963, when voter turnout was over 79%. The lowest voter turnout on record was in 2008, when voter turnout fell to only 58.8%. Voter turnout in the most recent election, at 61.4%, was the third lowest in Canadian history.
