hicks, I'm like you - I did sleep for an hour, but just couldn't get back to sleep. Listened to the radio for a while, then just gave up.

Good morning Dan & Nat.
I got about an hour & 1/2. I'm going to be a basket case today.
My head's pounding. I usually sleep about 8 hrs.

It all started with U.S. soldiers stationed in England during WWI. The toilets in England at the time were predominately made by the company “Thomas Crapper & Co Ltd”, with the company’s name appearing on the toilets. The soldiers took to calling toilets “The Crapper” and brought that slang term for the toilet back with them to the United States.I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Good morning...back from a much-needed 8-day SC break.
Hicks and Nat, hope you both get in a nap today.
I'll be having a very deep one in the middle of the afternoon.
Having general anaesthetic for arthroscopic knee surgery.
I so miss my morning coffees...

Morning, all!
Margy, good luck with your arthroscopic knee surgery; I had that done in late June when I had the pins and plate removed from my knee. The arthroscopic surgery gave me more discomfort than the other...hurts like the dickens for a few days (a bad pinching sensation where the probes went in), but that subsides to a dull ache, just to let you prepare for it. I thought it was 'nothing', but found out very quickly that wasn't the case. Have frozen bags of peas ready.......I much prefer heat, but those really helped. Don't be surprised if you take months to completely recover, like I did, but maybe I'm a wimp, or it was because the other surgery exacerbated it.
Don't want to scare you, Hon...just want you to be prepared...
Have a great day, everyone!!

Ooo, not nice. It's an absolutely wonderful, sunny, bright day here and I took advantage of it by going for my first fairly big grocery shop in over a year and a half. Yay!
Now Jenny is asking to go outside, but since she won't stay there by herself, I have my lemon water and book to browse through while she chews a big doggie-bone. Spoiled little brat..
Everyone else having a fantastic day, too??

Lynn, it must feel great to have some independence back, you have had a long haul. Sitting here with my 24 hour blood pressure monitor on, still having issues with huge differential between arms. Today i am 76/60 in one arm and 130/80 in the other. I do have a blockage but not a big enough one to cause the huge difference, will just keep plugging away, all I seem to do is run from specialist to specialist with no resolution. Keep telling myself it could be worse!!! Well off for a brisk windy walk, they told me to keep active to see how the readings go...

Goodness, TG, that really is quite a differential, isn't it? Low BP in one arm, high in the other; no wonder you're being scrutinized so thoroughly. Good for them, though for persevering and not just giving you the "you're fine" diagnosis. I hope they figure something out...how do you feel generally, like you have low BP, dizzy, weak? Poor critter. Enjoy your walk. Jenny and I just came in when hubby motorcycled into the back yard to put his toy into the tool-shed. I may have detected a tear.... It's a gorgeous day for him to have driven around on it today, but things are supposed to change tomorrow and on...rainy days are on their way. The Farmer's Almanac predicted snow from the 1st to the 4th of November....! Hope NOT!!

I'm glad they had a Blue Jays Appreciation Day. They so deserved it. I've been in my Blue Jays apparel all day.
I'm also looking forward to the game tonight; just hope I can stay awake for it. I'm rooting for K.C.
So going to miss baseball when the World Series is over.
