Hicks, hwhat a sweet gesture, blending my Mom's cookies with your traditional tea dainties...you're such a special Lady. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as our family always have.
Margy, yes, beat the egg white until it glistens and holds together, then add the icing sugar one tbsp at a time, then add the almond extract...about a tsp. I think the name "commandos" comes from the little 'helmets' the cookies wear, yep, a strange name fir a delicious cookie...like the "White Trash" I make that everyone inhales! Lol!

Walks! Welcome back from your kitchen! So ​Padyo was right...mincemeat hangover! lucky family with so many cookies for Christmas and Santa! Great that you all went to the movies together...it's so tough for you all to synchronize your times together...

Well! Time to...um....let's see.....I could....well, this may take time, so I'll just pour another cuppa coffe for now and contemplate my choices for the day.

I did send flowers to our DD at work: it was officially announced that she was among the award winners at work for the spring trip with her Hubby, this year to California! Their last trip was Atlantis this past spring...so proud of her!!

It's cooled down a bit here, but still no white crap thank goodness; nothing urgent on my calendar today...planning the dinner menu for Friday when 'the kids' will be here...work, work, work....

Yup, it is quiet - just that time of year.

Bummer that my husband had to go back to work tonight - he just stopped in to have supper. He has to do some work where the power has to be shut off completely at a business. Hopefully it won't take him all evening, though - he gets tuckered out enough after a regular full day of work.

So it's just me and the cats - who don't care about me right now, it's their nap time.
