Good morning, everyone.
The short one is almost back to normal. Yesterday, he decided to eat on his own for the first time in days. I think he is sick & tired of me force feeding him (it wasn't pretty, but he needed something to keep up his strength and the other option was leaving him in hospital with an IV which would have made him even more unhappy). He is still being sucky & wants to be with me and insists on eating out of my hand (not so bad with kibble, kinda yucky with turkey, not happening with wet cat food). He started to play a bit this morning, but still hasn't tried to beat up poor Lily dog (she's upset cause she thinks she did something wrong to incur his apathy). The vet can't figure out what exactly was wrong (tests show that Quincy is a perfectly healthy cat for his 9 years), I think he had a sore throat and it hurt to swallow. I'm just happy to have my silly boy almost back to normal. I just won't think about the CC debt til January.
Was supposed to run an errand this morning, but that is not happening with all the slush and yuck outside. Guess I should do some housework. Bleh. Maybe I'll just cuddle the brats instead. The last 2 years have been so chaotic, I really need to get myself back on track. My New Years resolutions are to make more of an effort to keep in touch with friends, better manage my time (actually, my energy, since I tend to overdo things then crash - that's what happens when there are so many fun things to do and great people to see), and spend more time spoiling the brats (at this point, I don't care if I create monsters, they deserve to be treated like royalty for putting up with me).
Better get started with my most important tasks of the day - making the brats happy.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their words of comfort. It means alot.
Brats are napping, so I'd better go make some popsicles with some of the broth I made for Quincy cat (poor Lily dog felt left out yesterday when she didn't get any).
Yes, I know, I need a life.

Good Morning Everyone,
Rough morning here, did not sleep well last night. The storm keep me up, finally fell asleep and the guys showed up and cleaned our walk ways using a snow blower @ 2:30 am so yep up again. Then just before 7 someone set off their car alarm and could not turn it off. Thinking today will need a lot of caffeine to get through it.
Finally sorted my gifts and most things have been put away.
Just realized I am not getting notification from the buy and sell group I am on. Got an email this morning that I had 10 messages some from before Christmas. The app on my phone stopped working and they do not support my phone for no help other then to tell me the phones they do support. Oh well what can you do I have gone in and changed my preferences so how my notifications got turned off.
Have a great day everyone.

My mom and sister gave me a bunch of food leftovers so will plan to use up tonight for dinner. Have a great day everyone.

Just working on tidying & sorting the stockpile today. My plan for January is a clean the freezer/ pantry month to minimize the spending. We expect to replace DH’s car later this year so we are saving to pay cash for a new car. So far we have about 30% saved. Itsgood year to replace as the teen will start driving this year and the current car has a very powerful engine so DH is prone to speeding tickets.
I will also create my new 2016 savings tracker. I will report later how the year was. I track all the points spent from PC plus AM etc. as well as Gift cards earned and other reward savings. It is very motivating and keeps both DH & I encouraged to continue. Thus year the savings was over 50% of the trip so is really keeps the boys keen as well.
I also keep a net worth tracker and we have a very lofty goal this year of increasing our net worth by 20%.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

-lilo I was going thru stockpile today too - my dentist is taking donations for "Martha house" of personal items for ladies
-so I am going to donate olay soap ,nivea soap and a few deodorant ,mouthwash, face wash and toner and a few scrubs -really only like dove now -I am donating 20.00 worth of stuff cause we are very fortunate and need to help others in our community for sure -as mom always use to say "charity begins at home" yet when she was raising my older half brothers when their dad died of an anyursm at age 23 and they were 4 and 2 -nobody helped her from her family they looked down on her for being on the system -only her one brother out of 8 kids came from Niagara falls ,new York came and brought her food and a bit of money
-well had my neighbour over for tea and homemade muffin this morning at 11.00 then hubby came in and went to make a coffee and power was off for about 1 hour and we didn't even know it -gave my neighbour a panetoni my son-in-law passed on to me from his mom -I have put on a bit over the holidays getting a box of lindt from my daughter and the chocolates hubby got from school kids didn't really help

Went to the Chiro today. He repeated a procedure meant to help alleviate the vertigo. And he used a massage and pressure technique to reduce the tension in my neck. He is going on holiday until next Monday. He said if I get worse headaches or more invasive vertigo that I should go to the hospital to have it checked out to be safe, but I am feeling much better. He mentioned that I might have given myself whiplash when I fell.
I am going to behave. Trying to tidy up clothing that doesn't fit. I posted some on a local facebook reading group. I have had no e experience with before, but will see if I can't sell a few of the higher-end things or take them to a consignment shop with which I have also had no experience.
We will see how it goes.
I got my visa issues sorted out today as well. So a quiet but good day.
I even got to take the dog for a little walk.

avon -glad you got answers-and post things on your local facebook -I don't have facebook -but I post on kijiji (I am carefull-hubby is always home etc)
-last night sold a top from the bay (high end with sequins ) I paid 7.99-50%=4.00 at talize and sold it for 5.00 it was a tad bit big
and it was a mailbox or porch pickup as they call it -she said she would come around 10.00 as that's when she got off work
-so at 10.15 checked the mailbox and there was 5.00 -she messaged me this morning and said thank you its lovely and that the 5.00 was in there -actually she wanted to come the night before but we had freezing rain and asked ifshe could wait -nice communication see sometimes there is wonderfull intelligent people on there(I made 148.25 this year on kijij -better in my pocket)
-my hubby's neice and her hubby -now they are very frugal people -their income is up there and they are very cheap -they don't use coupons but they buy most everything off kijiji an armoire, t.v ,a couch their kids toys for xmas -a few
mind you they never go out ,hardly ever order out I honestly think they are paying down their mortgage
-sometimes they are so cheap -we went their in summer and they had a pizza(they had ordered it) on the patio table and he said "its so good you only need one piece"lol I mean their frugal like us ladies and cheap like he isLast edited by coupon girl; Wed, Dec 30th, 2015 at 06:37 AM.
