I noticed that you didn't comment on that, Dave.
Have you ever pondered that in countries where there are strong abortion rights, women are highly empowered in government...whereas where abortion is banned, a male government dictates the shape of their lives?
Ever considered that women don't want children unconditionally? Two generations ago, women were pumping out a dozen children in the course of their lives, unless they were lucky enough to have a husband that could afford a mistress. You didn't have to pay for *******s then, so having a piece on the side, even paid for, could be a huge economic benefit to your own family.
Children have always been the greatest burden in life, and that's why I think people historically people truly hated the literally "gay" carefree happy economically flush LBGT. They didn't have to pay the cost that every decent person did.
I don't understand the drive to breed, breed, breed...there are 7.2 billion people on this earth and they are just destroying it. I expect environmental Armageddon to occur before my death. Like zoo animals that never had their cage cleaned, we've just befouled Earth.
I am pro-euthansia too. I just don't see the point of making people hang around when they don't want to, when they are experiencing the most pain and fear of their lives.
I don't think humans are so precious that each and every life ought to be preserved. There's 7.2 billion of us. It's better for all of us if there are fewer of us.

No, I was raised Catholic but I am not at all religious now. That's not to say that if you are an atheist, you believe in nothing. I have a strong belief that humans overvalue themselves. I think we should be more humble in our relationship with the Earth, because the future of humanity lies with the planet, not God, IMO.
If I had to call it something I would call abortion justifiable homicide, where there has to be a damn good reason. People used to die by the zillions and now with modern hygiene and medicine, we're filling the planet to capacity. By taking care to preserve every single human life, we're killing ourselves.
People are feeling that in Japan, where there is huge population pressure on the land and an entire generation just decided not to have kids. Japan's population is shrinking fast.
If you live out in God's country, it would never occur to you that more people weren't a good thing.

Given that Mother Theresa believed that physical suffering was a way to God and employed those beliefs on those she was supposed to be caring for while having the best of medical treatment herself...I'm glad not to be like Mother Theresa TYVM.

OKay...I've re-checked the chronicle and it turns out to be a satire site...sorry folks!
At the Chronicle.SU, we take truth seriously. We take what we do so seriusly, untruths at chronicle.su are punishable by mutilation or death.
Sadly, chronicle.su is not of this earth. After crash landing in an asteroid December 30th, 1976, the alien husks of Chronicle editors rapidly adapted to Earth climates and bacterial flora. They are able to survive naturally in the wild and reproduce freely.
Here at chronicle.su, we take a liberal stance on drug abuse and theft of intellectual property, but that does not mean we are liberal because liberals are faggots and I ain’t no steer-boatin’ queer!
Receiving tweets twice daily via fax from religious advisers impregnates our right-wing furnace of hate, enabling us to bring you the most horrifyingly sensational headlines you’ve ever seen, or your money back – guaranteed!

^^^abortion is a hot button topic especially when religion enters into the equation. everyone has a line over which something is acceptable or not. Notice though that societies where women are still breeding like fleas are those where women have no rights. Namely look at the birthrate in Muslim households where women have no quality of life and no rights.

I agree that MT is a controversial figure.
I do admire her as a figure of charity though. I think charity is very important. OTOH I wouldn't give money to her charity because I don't believe in her politics. One charity I do support regularly though (and this drives people nuts) is Wikipedia. OTOH, I also like the Salvation Army a ton, because I think, I know, their contribution to our community is huge.

A Syrian Refugee Beautifully Documented His First Ever Canadian Winter
Hani Al Moulia and his family arrived in Regina from a refugee camp. They just experienced their first Canadian winter.
Take the time to look through the pics, and read his comments - it's very nice.
