hey all at my son's on his laptop
-ashlyn's sleeping as my daughter-in-law had to get her up at 6.00a.m today and take her to daycare til8.30 then took her to doctors -she has very delicate skin she broke out in rash on her face
-so I slept in til 9.00 got her at 9,30 and brought her back to her house
-so not doing much just relaxing til she wakes up
-have a kijiji sale for my son-in-law tonight 25.00

I visited the doctor this morning because my left ankle has been hurting me since early last week and I don't know why. He didn't have much as far as suggestions go. If it still hurts in a few weeks, then I can come back he'll send me for an x-ray.

decided to add some mulch in the garden
maybe spend 15 minutes or so
2 hours later, mulched, added soil to raspberry bush, trimmed some large shrubs, got out the weed wacker and did some wacking and looked for new shoots appearing

small update on Claudius,He came through it all so good! The staff fell in love with him and said he is JUST so easy going, he allowed them to do whatever they had to with no nastiness at all. Then in recovery, again he was such a sweetheart!( well we already knew that about him, lucky for them it wasn't Hamlet they had to deal with....ha ha ) So we are now a tad poorer, but very happy that he is no longer in pain and maybe now he will stop biting his fur out.Hoping DH can catch some O.T. now hours to fill in the gap.

Our 3.5yr old son keeps trying to convince us to buy him a trampoline, but I don't think we have room for it in our back yard. He loved it at daycare. Our friend across the street also has a trampoline that he can use when we are visiting in her back yard.

M we are also planning on participating in the one day CT sale. We are getting a variety of items that we had been waiting to purchase. Their lawn chairs are $9.99 each and ours are needing replaced.

Evening all,

I've been busy assisting the contractor since he started.

The drywall is all up and the 1st coat of mud applied to most areas. Tomorrow he mud where he didn't today and 2nd and 3rd coats elsewhere....very visible progress which makes me .

We need to use up the rest of the spray foam this weekend so dh will spray the outside wall where the powder room will be and I have scheduled the contractor for late Mid to late November . Dh will also spray the belt joists until he runs out of spray foam.

Supper was steak with lipton sidekicks with peas, so yummy.

TGIF!!! Good morning!! I washed up the dishes in the sink this morning so the kitchen is clean Still have to empty the dishwasher. Tonight is much needed date night! And my honey is off today so it will start as soon as I get home We seem to have been so busy lately so this is much needed.
We have no sports this weekend which is an awesome break! I hope to get on all the laundry early tomorrow morning (depends how date night goes lol Will have to take it easy on the wine!)
The spare room is to be cleaned out this weekend and the new futon set up in there as well as tv and gaming systems and kids Dvds/Games etc. Can't wait!!! Then I can clean the family room from top to bottom.
Off to clean off my desk so I can enjoy the weekend. Hope everyone has a fantastic day

With all that's been going on, I need a bit of a distraction. My mom is no better off than when she went into the hospital last week. All the doctors, specialists, tests, etc. haven't resolved anything, but the pain has subsided. More waiting for more appointments....

QOTD: With more stores changing their price matching policies, have your shopping habits changed? For example, are you shopping more at Walmart, even if it takes longer, or the selection/quality/service is not there?

Are you still shopping at your favourite stores even if it's not Walmart for a higher price based on principle?

If you don't have a Walmart nearby, are you able to make up the shortfall using points or some other cashback?

Is shopping still as enjoyable now that we don't have as many coupons? Are you able to find more in stock now that there are more restrictions on coupons?

Great QOTD, sweet sparrow. I have to say I am not a Walmart fan. Never have been & since they are in the same parking lot as the superstore I have been able to avoid them. PC plus has been very good for me and so far my store has not made any changes to their policies, I am sure in part to their proximity to Walmart so on that regard Walmart is my friend. I actually find my Costco shopping has increase. I know what is competitive and what is not and I can stick to a list. It is also not out of my way since I can drive by it on my way home & feeding three men means buys milk two bags at a time makes sense. I want a second fridge but DH is not interested so we have a small bar fridge in the laundry room & that helps. Many times I wonder why I even carry my coupons with me as I rarely use them. I just looked at my tracker and so far this year we have used 95.00 in coupons and last year it was 300.00. the one thing I am trying to do this year is not miss a MIR we would use so this year it is almost 60.00 saved vs last year when it was 25.00 for the whole year.
To answer your earlier question yes I have a diamond as my birth stone and had my youngest waited a few days to be born then the men would have all had sapphires which would have made for an impressive family ring.

@lilo0003 : Do you have other services done at Costco as well, like photos, pharmacy, and auto? I love their pharmacy pricing, my brother uses their photo lab almost exclusively, and my BIL has the tires done on all their vehicles at Costco. I think if I could use all their resources, it would be worth the cost of membership. We have a wee car though and I've been eyeing their furniture and rugs.
