Hello folks! Life has really taken many turns in the past 10 days! DH has completed the round 5 chemo. His CT scan, which had been scheduled for after our trip to Denver at the end of the month in Chatham, got changed to this Friday in London.
Last Saturday, we heard of a condo available in London that seemed intriguing. I was dead against moving to London.
BUT we came home having put an offer on a condo in north London that had been on the market for 1 day.
NOW our house is listed - open house here this Sunday -
AND the blankity - blank CT was cancelled - we THINK - We called today to check on something and were told it was cancelled and they can't check it out until tomorrow. (When were they going to tell us?) We have booked a hotel in London for Thursday night and our carpets are being cleaned Thursday, so, we can't stay here.
I am frankly SICK of screw-ups! And DH is so stressed!
I have been a whirlwind of "staging"!
We have spoken with family and friends.
We've met with lawyers, bankers, realtors, fix-it-people. iill
We have appointments with physiotherapists (for me), nutritionist, nurse, pharmacist, and, hopefully, the oncologist, and dh will need blood work and possibly a transfusion on Thursday.
I will keep you updated - thanks for all your continued support.

Oh avon!! I am astounded you haven't blown a gasket yet!!?? Why are you getting such shoddy treatment wrt appointments and treatments? Oh I just hope and pray that everything else non medical falls into line easier ( the house sale, etc ) .
Not sure if I would be doing as well as you under the same pressure, you are certainly an amazing woman!!
Keeping you both in my thought and prayers each and every day!

Sorry I have been AWOL! - "No rest for the wicked," they say.
Our house sold after 1 showing- no conditions in the offer - moving date - Aug. 2 or 3.
So now it's pack-a-pack-a-pack- They call me the Packer - to misquote an old song and put a smile on Lynn's face.(We're not moving to Green Bay, though, Lynn.)
DH's CT scan has been rebooked for after our trip to Denver.
Everything is chugging along- some glitches with finding a mover but that will get smoothed out.
My old body is complaining about the new pace but I will have to coax it along. Trying to keep DH from tackling jobs he shouldn't.
He is thrilled and happy to be moving to London. He lived there as his family was growing until they moved to Florida. Beautiful parks (the "Forest City") Outdoor festivals. Cultural and Musical events. And his oncologist team there.
Well, the boxes won't pack themselves!
Thank-you for all you do, spirituality and virtually for us, my friends!

I am thinking about you & your dear sweet hubby. The cancer gig is one I'd like to send packing. I hope that the good days out number the not-so-good days. If I have already posted these silly lines of prose, please forgive me. My memory isn't always so great.
Can't say I feel glee as I hereby state my plea,
I’m trying to build a wall as *it* can't boss me,
I’ve met so many sweet people in my cancer travels,
You can’t let *it* in, cause *it* sometimes unravels,
The human spirit has a remarkable way of surviving,
That my friends is a key that keeps the hope thriving,
Cancer has no redeeming features & has no mystique,
I would give *it* a ZERO in a detailed critique,
I don't want to go down the avenue that I'll just call dreary,
But, I cannot deny that sometimes I get utterly weary,
I guess this is what they call a soldiering duty...
Now, off I go to continue to kick cancer's booty!!!

Thank-you, my friends! I managed, with dh to go through and hand shred a bin-full of old bills, cards, useless souvenirs etc to make the garbage today
We are preparing for our cross-country drive to Denver which we will start on Monday.
Dh had blood -work done yesterday and all levels are fine.
HIS CT scan has been rebooked (for the 3rd time ) to London again for after we get back.
All of our conditions on our house have been waved.
We have our new phone number and postal code......
We are getting close to being ready for our garage sale on Saturday.
Thank-you, Loocie for your lovely poems! Sending you big smiles and happy thoughts!
Skippy, I always appreciate your prayers!
Lynn, you're always there with beautiful pictures and thoughts!
Walks and fleet and all the rest of you, it's so wonderful of you to drop by to offer your support.
I am leaving many of your names unsaid, but not unappreciated!
Thank-you once again!
