Hope you have a fabulous trip!
Two of our nieces are in Greece right now, and I'm so jealous seeing the pics of their adventures.
Other family from my husband's side of the family are in Serbia visiting there.
I'm not jealous of them, because I'm def not a traveler, I'm glad they are having great vacays.

Had my sister's Bachelorette party this weekend. Frugal wins:
1) mom bought my lunch at the luncheon (I had a feeling she would do this...it was also her 39th Wedding Anniversary so I was sure to get them a gift card to treat themselves)
2) $15 off entree when you buy one for dinner (paid for bride's dinner!)
3) tourism tax in Niagara falls is apparently now mandatory (April 1) and increased from 5% to 10%, since I booked hotel rooms in March and had specifically asked about declining the charge, staff had agreed to honour 5%. They didn't charge it at all! It was applied to our parking, but I am not complaining about that.
Very tired. Went to bed at 2:30am. Laid awake with burps from dinner, I think, because I don't drink, until 3:30am. At that point, I decided I needed to be vertical so grabbed my bag and drove home...I was planning on getting back to my kids for breakfast anyway. Got home at 4:45am, had 3 hours sleep. Church this morning, park this afternoon. DH is cooking supper and I will off to bed tonight with the kids.
Glad the bachelorette is over. Fun. BUT glad it is over. I feel the same about the wedding. My resources of time and money are needed elsewhere!"There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Good Evening Everyone,
I think being home last week helped a little bit, I am still tired but not feeling so exhausted I cannot move, so a nice change. It was fun well it lasted but this week I am going in 2 different directions. I head up north tomorrow which I am feeling a little weird about, I will be staying at my cousin's house but he is not home so I will be staying with his wife. I like his wife but it feels a little weird with him not being there. I will come back Wednesday night and sleep at home before I head in the other direction for the day.
Yesterday I got some cleaning done around the house, started cleaning our front hallways which had become a bit of a dumping ground. As well I got some work done in the kitchen, nothing earth shattering or anything but just a little tidying up.
I have also been working on the sheep. I have 3 more sold which I need to complete and then I am on to Cows, Mosses and Beavers.
Other then that not much going on, just packing up some food to take with me so I do not have to eat out.
Well off to figure out dinner hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

We are 1.5hrs into a storm that is forecasting 100m of rain over 48hrs. The city is flooded. The power is out just about everywhere. We might end up on a boil water advisory. There is hail, gushing rain, and wind to go with it. My poor vegetable garden. 1/2 of it is in raised beds, but it is still being pulverized. This is a picture out my living room window. My house does not have a basement, but my neighbour's basement across the street is already flooding. I stepped out for coffee with a friend at the beginning of this storm, now we are waiting it out at Tim's without power.

This picture was taken after the water level had gone down several inches. I have never seen the water this high on our property and we bout our house 11yrs ago. There is water in our crawl space, which is where our furnace is located. Water got into my shed, which has lots of stuff in boxes, etc. University and teaching books, clothes, the matching love seat to my couch. I don't know if we might end up needing to do an insurance claim, which would be a $1,000 deductible.

edit: Sorry, I don't know how to fix the picture while on my cell phone.
The sewer is backing up into multiple basements on my street.Last edited by Angela273; Sun, Jul 10th, 2016 at 09:49 PM.

Just heard from my brother in North Battleford - they were flash flooded there as well.

We've just had sprinklings - but Saskatoon is forecasted to get lots as well.

that is a lot of water!!!! hope everyone stays safe.
I spent the am weeding my pumpkin patch. My son mowed. we hung 5, or 6 loads of laundry. Planted, more cucs, beans, lettuce, snow peas, and spinach.
then I spent 5 hours getting my oldests bedroom sorted, put away , and cleaned.
supper was a mish mash of leftovers. ... and partial pkgs from the freezer. it worked. and used up a lot. I am happy.
then I had a bubble bath using some of my Lush product stash. just finishing up my swagbucks and chilling out for the eveningto join earnably https://earnably.com/i/gigi3

Good morning!
Well, we didn't get much rain - but they are predicting we'll get lots over the next two days, we'll see. Because of where we are, sometimes it passes right by us when there are warnings.
Have a great day, everyone!
