Uzbekistan plunged into uncertainty by death of dictator Islam Karimov
Uzbekistan’s veteran dictator, Islam Karimov, has died, leaving central Asia’s most populous country in a state of turmoil and political uncertainty.
Turkey’s prime minister, Binali Yıldırım, announced the news in a televised meeting with his cabinet, declaring: “May God’s mercy be upon him.” The announcement confirmed speculation that Karimov had suffered a fatal stroke earlier this week.
he Uzbek government did not confirm the reports at first but played funeral music on state channels. Later on Friday the government eventually released a statement saying the 78-year-old president had died.
According to the government Karimov’s funeral would take place on Saturday in his home town of Samarkand, where his mother and two brothers are buried. Photos showed frantic preparations at the city’s cemetery, with workers and diggers brought in to clear up the historic site.
Ambassadors in the capital, Tashkent, were told to turn up on Saturday morning at the railway station. Samarkand’s airport was shut to non-official traffic.

Keep his job??! They've GOT to be kidding!!
Where can I sign up to get this imbicile, this pompous self-absorbed idiot thrown off the bench??!!!
CALGARY -- A Federal Court judge who asked a sexual assault complainant why she couldn't keep her knees together wants to keep serving on the bench and plans to apologize for his remarks at a public hearing.
A Canadian Judicial Council inquiry scheduled for September is to determine whether Justice Robin Camp, who made the comments in 2014 as a provincial court judge in Calgary, should be removed from his job.....Camp acquitted a man of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old girl after deciding that the man's version of events was more credible............He asked her: "Why couldn't you just keep your knees together?" and said "pain and sex sometimes go together."
The verdict was overturned on appeal and a new trial was ordered.

The world's first face transplant recipient, Isabelle Dinoire, has died. She had complications from the transplant and two incidences of cancer from the rejection drugs. Thankful for 11 years of a good life for her. Very sad to hear - may the others fare better.

@dart hPenguin, I wonder if he had the same admonishments to give to his daughter?
Did anyone hear what happened if anything?
Did some kid in grade 3 lift her skirt or some such thing?
IF she was really raped, I bet dear old daddy had the guy in the klink pretty fast and for a good long time.
I need to know more about what exactly transpired.
This reeks...
