Darth, get takeout all week if you aren't getting help with cooking at home - you being a good mom/wife isn't all about the cooking.

we got take-out yesterday...but , like a mum, I had to show I was capable of looking after the family today..

You're only going to be out of commission for a few days, so DH & kids should look after you. The more you rest, the faster you'll heal.
Take out, for Mr. Penguin should cook for you.

Yeah..I know..but Mr P has to travel part of next week and P2 isn't 15 yet, so I don't want her to be doing all the cooking. we don't live in an area where take out is delivered..and I can't drive ATM

I have food which P2 can help me with that I'd prepared for this time.i was pushing myself today..cos I don't like ...mumbles...being dependent..

Just have her help as much as possible - oh, and I do know what you feel like, I went through this twice when I had surgery on a hand, another time on my knee.

Yup...we have to be strong until we can't...lilP helps but cooking isn't a strength for him but he needs to learn.

You sound like my DH! Try to listen to your body, though. Sounds like you were pretty well prepared going into this. Wishing you a fast recovery!

sorry I have P2 aged nearly 15 who's keen to learn to cook and lilP (11) at home. P1 has an appt in Montreal with her BFF..

I just don't want them handling the very hot stuff...

I was surprised our boys actually like spaghetti squash. Good thing because our plants produced 14 of them!

We've had a few days of rain, today should be dry and sunny.

Husband has a four day weekend, so that's been good for both of us!

Holy Moly, Saundyl! That's some crop!

The lady at the greenhouse house told us to pinch it off and only expect 2 or 3 to grow. She said if we didnt then the squash wouldnt get very big.

We left for 4 weeks and came home to 2 squash anta taking a strip about 18 feet long by 6 feet wide and the two plants produced like crazy without supervision!

Im now doubting the greenhouse ladys advice.
