Now for the horrible news in my world - my brother-in-law died this morning, husband of my second-oldest sister.
He had esophageal cancer, diagnosed just about a year ago - went through surgery and many rounds of treatments, but it just didn't cut it.
He got taken to the hospital on the weekend, and had not been conscious since then.

I'm numb, I think - and it's hard to not keep crying; it just doesn't seem real that he is gone, and I'm just heartbroken for my sister and their kids and grandkids.

My sister is 10 years older than me, same age as her husband (and my husband) - they were childhood sweethearts and got married in 1972. When my sister retired from teaching several years ago, he took early retirement from his job as an IT specialist (civilian) with the police service here - they have travelled, and have been enjoying their children and grandchildren. Their three kids and their families all live here.

So, cancer sucks - and a whole bunch of other swears...

So sorry for your loss Nat.

Good morning, everyone....not a great morning, woke to burning pain along my scar, which is about 10" long, so....it's all probably normal in the scheme of things, 'two steps forward, one step back'. I have ice on it now providing relief, and Jenny is fast asleep, providing heat on my lap. Physio today, but not excited to go this time...grr.

good day all! Seems like the day is already half over for me ( rising again before 6:30 ) ugh!! So DH upper back does seem ever so slightly better today. I think the guy worked out both knots with that deep massage as well as the acupuncture. Fingers crossed.
@Natalka , my deepest condolences on the loss of your BIL. Your sis must surely feel like she has lost her soul mate. So sad.

My package with the tablet I ordered cleared customs in Mississauga. If all goes well should have in timmins by Friday. Site I bought it from said 7-15 business days and it was mailed Nov 5th so not looking bad.

Now to hope that 32" Westinghouse TV at Walmart for $158 is available Fri lol. Sale starts Thursday though. Reviews are low on it but most complaints are that it's not a real smart TV. I don't care if it's a smart TV lol. That's about my budget though.
