Thank you, everyone, for the kind thoughts, I didn't think I was that long away, almost 2 months, I am sorry for that. Got emails from friends here asking if I was ok. The leg is almost perfect, need to get some muscle on it, but walking everywhere now with out devices. Lories Dad died very suddenly before Christmas, and he sunk both Lorie and I. I miss our happy hour phones calls so much where we would talk hockey, politics, life. He was with me through this broken leg 100%.. and we just miss him so much. But looks like I am back. Sorry Friends for making you worry about me...

My sympathies to you and Lori on the loss of her Father. He's obviously left a big emptiness behind and it'll hurt for a long time. I hope with time your memories of his love and care will bring you both comfort.
So, whew! You're okay!. SO happy to see you back here again! And, once again, we're in the same place Wrt our recoveries.....I too can walk without a cane now but like you, the strength still isn't there to fully trust it to keep me upright all the time, and I still use my cane outside because of my fear of falling again on the icy patches hiding under the snow.
All the best, Charger, on your continued recovery, and yay, for being back again!,

@Redneck Charger , that's awful, isn't it: that numbness. The outside of my right leg has been numb since my last surgery in 2015, and my foot feels like it's walking on gravel all the time, unless I'm wearing shoes, and then because, I guess, it's stationary on the sole of the show, I don't have the sensation of walking, iykwim. I was told that numbness I have is likely permanent..I hope that's not true for you and that your nerves will all knit together...which also stings from time to time.. And yes, one day at a time. I do get really "down" about it sometimes because we can't plan on doing any travelling if I can't walk more than an hour of shopping, so I joined a little gym here just to work on strengthening that quad. It's in a nursing home, lol.....only $20 for the year, so the price is right for us oldersters!
Hang in there, Sweetie, God bless...
