Hi all. I don't post very often. I lurk a lot. Just if you guys could do me a great favor of offering your well wishes, thoughts, prayers, light a candle for my Dad it would be much appreciated. He is going in for Bypass Surgery on his Heart tomorrow morning in Edmonton. He had a Heart Attack on Wednesday but being the tough guy he is and has always been, he drove himself to the Hospital and they are surprised he was alive let alone walking around.
I went to see him in Edmonton on Thursday. It was the only day I could as I live 2 hours out and didn't want my son to see Grandpa in a bed hooked up to things. Anyhow. He's getting his bypass tomorrow and if you could just think of him and send him positive vibes that would mean a great deal. Thank you so much. I will keep you guys posted on how he does...
Thank You.

Well, he got out yesterday and was just not ready to wake up so they kept him sedated overnight. But today he woke up on his own and he's breathing on his own, eating, talking, joking, singing. They even got him into a chair and he was sitting there watching hockey and drinking tea, holding the cup himself. I am so surprised by how fast he is doing all of this after one day. He's tough, that's for sure. Looks like all went good it's just all recovery now. Thanks for your thoughts. I feel better today having seen him doing well.

Thank you so much. it definitely puts things into perspective. It really helps and is cathartic, being around other families going through the same thing. we formed a bond definitely in there, I'm going back to see him in a day and we just are so hopeful for him..

I am so glad everything went well for your Dad. I pray to Jesus and ask him to continue to take care of your Dad and yourself. Please, Jesus, watch over them both and comfort them.
