Hello folks!
Big announcement:
I have "adopted" a rescue dog. In only 3 days she has become the light of my life and the reason I have to brave the cold in the mornings!
She is a purebred Coton De Tulear but, unfortunately was used as a breeding dog. She was then taken in by an older lady who really couldn't care for her needs. That poor lady passed yesterday and - kind of by default, I have become her new owner.
I took her to the vet yesterday and received a big shock. She has "the worse case of mouth infection and decay" that the vet has ever seen. The bill to get her the specialized dental surgery will rival 2 months rent.
I took a gasp, and said a prayer asking for guidance.
I can't see Tootie just cast aside. I know that she was sent my way for a reason.
Her appointment won't happen until, probably Feb. If she passes the blood tests. They tried to take her blood yesterday but her wee veins would not cooperate.
She looks like a Maltese or Havanese but much smaller. She is white with caramel coloured patches.
So, pennies in the jamjar to save up for this endeavour and wishes that she is healthy enough (as measured by the blood tests-Monday) to proceed.
Wish us well, pleaseLast edited by avoncallingu; Fri, Dec 8th, 2017 at 03:48 PM.

@avoncallingu congrats on your new best friend she will make you happy. She w as sent to u for a reason. How old is she . I am praying she is healthy to get the operation and we always find a way to get the funds to things for our fur babies. Since she is a rescue can you not do a bake sale or some kind of fundraising at Church just wondering. Good luck

Wow, how wonderful, @cath007! Is that the goal your community was aiming for? It would be interesting to have such a singular day here. It's one thing to put items in collection boxes during the year, wondering if you really make a difference, but to participate in a one day event, knowing you contributed to that number would be so gratifying.

Thanks flemeth!
Cath- That is wonderful news about your food drive! People seem to dig down deep at this time of year.
We have the Kristkindle Market happening at the Town Hall and area this weekend. I am hoping to get there for a while. There are always such wonderful crafts and imported goods. Very sparkly and very K-W. Some of the booths are outside and there is a skating rink and entertainment.
Well, my friend should be just arriving in Australia with the Canadian half of her family joining the Australian half of her family for the holidays. I don't know whether they are a day ahead or behind us.
I figure if I could fly repeatedly around the world in the right direction, I could go back in time.
Well have a wonderful start to your weekend! Good night, folks!

Eve is likely his cat too.But we haved 2 cats since I was a child and they lived 17 years so maybe it is the reason. He take care of eve,but for me another cat means expenses ,example if she is getting sick, food and ect....We haved 2 cats when we haved our big house,in appart even if this is a 5 and a half that is another storie. And i would love a free cat operated and degriffed that is difficult to find even on fb pages specialisated.

It's been a long day, folks, but the wrapping is done and um...yep...that's about the extent of my activities today!
I'm hoping for a good night's sleep without choking or coughing. I can't wait to see our doc in January to see if a change in asthma meds is in order. Or I'll put my order in! Hah!
Good night, sweet dreams...time to relax...
